This game is an excellent value! You know, The price I paid for this, vs the time spent on it and the enjoyment i get out of it makes this one of the best game values on the App Store for me.
Hi Marsaults, Any further work/thoughts on making star systems multi-planetary with moons? Would make it much more realistic. It's hard for me to suspend disbelief playing in a universe where every single star system has one and only one planet. Thanks!
You won me on the update availability Regarding drh1961's comment, I fully agree too: it's the best investment I've made on a game in the App Store in all the years I've been with an app device. And it's been around 7 years now... EDIT: and I had to come back to say how much I love the new update. I have the Big Bang with 305T of cargo, and the first time I went to land, it said that autodocking was 2,500 credits. I decided to land manually... And crashed twice against the space station. With the hull cracked and the shield severely damaged, I had to take seriously the manual landing. I was capable of landing successfully on the third try. Really enjoyable now, at least for me. Now to get back to it and kill some imperials. I want to get on well with the rebels
Please forgive my ignorance, but where exactly is the lock button? All I see is the red button to fire my ship's weapons.
It appears at the bottom left when you've got a star in the very middle of your reticle. Otherwise it's not there. @Marsaults: bug report: - Underwater camera: the bug is still there. When you go underwater, then you come out, and you're unable to go underwater again in the planet you are. If you go to another planet, it's the same process: you only go underwater the first move, but when you get out you stay in the surface. - Night planets: where are they? it's been A LOT since I've landed on one. In previous versions (2-3 versions ago) there were more. Have the chances of night planets been reduced? - Monoliths: it's been a lot since I've found one. Are they rarer now? - Fine when finishing a "kill imperials" mission: I was left with a 1000 credits fine when I finished the mission, but I started it with 0 fine. I don't mind the 1000 credits, but I guess it's a bug. EDIT: I've done a second "kill imperials" mission and the result is the same: you're left with a 1,000 fine. In fact, thinking it thoroughly, it might be more "realistic" having a 1000 credits fine, since it's like saying "okay, you can't get out killing imperials for free, but hey, we reduce your fine to 1000 credits". The "kill imperials" missions are usually 4000+ credits, so you're always on a benefit with that. What do you think?
Hi Virtualboy! - underwater camera: never saw this bug, are you sure? Usually, when the camera doesn't go under water, it is because it is not deep enough. - night planet : doesn't seem to have disappear (i tested this morning, but not enough to see if it is rarer. Normally, the probability is roughly 25%). Don't hesitate to confirm if you think it is rarer. - Monoliths: still there (seen this morning). Shouldn't be rarer. I will check. - fine = 1000 : yeah this is (was) a bug! In fact the mission reward was given BEFORE the last fine was given (the fine corresponding to the last kill). Fixed. Thanks.
I'll check the night planets & monoliths this afternoon to see if I've just been unlucky. Regarding the underwater camera test, what I did to try it was: when underwater and speed S1 chosen, move forward 1 step to get out of the water, then turn 4 steps (to turn around) and move forward 1 step (to end up where I was underwater originally). That supposedly takes me to the place where I was underwater, but I always end up on top of the water. I'll try it this afternoon again to make 100% sure, but yesterday that's what happened. Thanks for fixing the 1000 fine bug
Docking way too unforgiving? How close to the flight path indicated by the blue flashing lights do you have to be? I can only dock successfully in about 1 in 5 to 1 in 10 tries. I get real close to the station and the little red display often never turns green and disappears completely even if my rotation angle is perfect. Is it because I'm not aligned with the flight path? Matching the rotation is not a problem but success in docking seems arbitrary. I don't see where I'm messing up.
The blue dots are the perfect entry. When rotating, you have to calculate to have the green light just as you approach the entry rectangle, and you can't enter the space station diagonally even if the light is green, because you "bounce" against the space station. If I'm too near the station and approaching at the wrong angle, what I do is go to the point where the blue dots begin, and from there make a hard turn by following a blue dot in the middle of the screen, to begin the approach in the correct angle. Rotation is crucial, but entry angle is also crucial.
Hello, I am also struggling with docking. My main problem is that the roll buttons disappears at the worst moment making the ship turn to maximum. Sorry for my bad english. By the way, do you have a plan for french localisation Marsault
The roll buttons disappear when you stop facing the space station entrance. Try to separate from the space station and turn to point to the entrance from a distance. That way it usually works.
I'm loving it so far. It's a No Mans Sky hold-you-over type of game. Would be super sweet if we could just fly into atmosphere of a planet and that's what brings you down to its surface. And free fly the planet versus pressing forward left or right. I'm sure it was setup that way for a reason. Memory etc. but if it's a space saver thing the forget it, make it 1gb file size lol we will understand. I get confused on the shop menu. Trying to remember which items have gone up or down in price etc. should have arrow up for up and down for down and - for hasn't changed. Also be neat if there where creatures randomly on planets. Either way, as is even the game is unique to mobile. Fun and exciting.
Regarding the shop prices, the color indicates the price and the benefit of buying/selling products (export/import prices). The mean price is the normal colour. Then, the better the price, the colour: greyish-blue, dark blue, yellow, green, red. I think that's the order. Regarding size, I don't want a 1GB game, I like it as light-sized as it is. I understand your point though.
I've been reading about No Man's Sky yesterday and I think Stellar Horizon is quite similar to what we know about that one, albeit on a simpler form, which is something fantastic IMO. One of the things they say about No Man's Sky is that the objective of the game is get to the middle of the galaxy, which made me think: what will happen when/if I get to the border of the galaxy in Stellar Horizon? And so that's my new objective
Can someone play this as a pure trader? Like the idea of being a space trucker in this expansive Galaxy.
