Same here. I am from Brazil and am used to subs from movies, tv shows etc. Looking forward to playing the game.
I feel same way I do with movies if it's a foreign film Whether it's French, Japanese, Spanish I want to hear them speak in their language and give me subtitles Many reasons one being it helps me to learn that language better and it's more authentic that way Good example is Godzilla I can't stand when they overdub the English voices and they don't even match their mouths and the actors are Japanese so dumb. Kung Pow Enter the Fist haha
For anything, not just anime or visual novels, I always want to hear how it was originally intended to sound or the voices of the original source. Definitely feels more authentic to me. Basically pretty much what everyone else said. As a side note, most Japanese voice acting I find really really good compared to say the English counterparts. Voice acting is totally serious business in Japan where in places like America it's usually just a side job or something you find a famous celebrity to do. Not to say that all of American voice acting is bad but the culture for it is very different in Japan.
The game I'm sure is great but I can't get into the anime style humour and graphics. Once I read more reviews might help me but at the moment can't justify this
Not sure but I heard it should be going on Steam so you can try there if you don't have an iOS device.
Some of the reviews on the Steam version suggest it's a pretty shoddy port. But maybe that's just for the PC version? This release is good quality? I've always wanted to play this! Now, to decide whether to get it for 6S Plus or iPad....
It's different genre Ace attorney will be more involving i guess Steins gate is more a traditional visual novel with some chocices you could make that will give you diffrent wndings They both great in their own right You should also pick ace attorney spirit of justice It's out in nintendoneshop for the 3ds
So true, few years ago i only watched anime in english dub and when people would say japanese is better id scoff and think what are these morons on about! How is it better then the language u understand! Then i gave it a shot, and without a doubt the japanese have so much more passion in their voice and can make a scene more intense for it. Now i ONLY watch in the language intended with eng subs lol One of the few that did do english well for me personally was the anime....Bleach and deathnote.
Thanks! I love AA series. I am waiting for a possible ios release of Spirit of Justice. If not, a year later, I am gonna grab the 3DS version.
Is there a way to see the reviews from TA-users for this game? It had a 4 star rating (came from 6) and I'm wondering why it went down. I think this game is awesome!
Use a two finger tap to open up the in-game menu. You'll also probably want to read the really informative "tip" section as well which explains a lot of the key words in the story.
Thank you for letting me know unfortunately I spent like almost 3 hours into the game and had to restart since I didn't know how to save and how did you know I don't read the tips?
Hmmm if I force quit in the middle of the app it usually asks if I want to continue where I left off. Was that not an option for you? Also if you want to speed through back to where you left off, swipe toward the right (or left - can't remember) and it should be an auto fast forward button. It shouldn't take you too long to get back to where you were! Btw I just realized a lot of the VAs in Stein's Gate are pretty famous (among VAs in Japan). Makes me even more excited to listen to their chatter. The main character's always-exaggerated Chuuni voice is also hilarious.
I left the game on since Thursday since I didn't know how to save and this morning it took me to the main screen without showing me if I would like to resume my progress and how do you know I wasn't using the tips
