Yeah, all I saw is that it's being released Q1 2010, which could be anywhere between now and April. Unless that is the update? Oh, and maybe the thread title should be changed, since it got delayed. Unless they're still planning to release it by end of February?
we are trying to get it finished within a month but it's since every level lasts around 40-50 minutes and we are making sure to tweak the battle system as good as possible Since SteamPirates is a adventure/platforming game with rpg elements we need to make sure every element is right I'm sure you guys would rather have a game that is great, than one that is average that has loads of updates out after to fix things I would have to note that this game has some of the best controls for a platformer on the iPhone, I'm suprised alot of devs use a virtual D Pad which is terrible and works rarely well
Well, just take your time, as long as it turns out good (just look at my sig) Can you give an estimate to how long a playthrough takes in total? Also, you said it was an adventuring/platforming with RPG elements. How heavy are these elements (as in, stat gains, etc.)?
Wow... The art here is amazing. It really reminds me of King's Quest VII. This is definitely on my watch list now.
Defintely better to finish the product than push it out and get complaints. Looks good from what I have seen, be good to see the finsihed product.
I can't give a estimate since while doing this game I wasen't like ok let's make it 28 hours or something else. Because then you just try to fill in those gaps and make boring parts. I just wanted to do a game that is entertaining from start to finish. So it depends if you explore the levels or just go and finish your quest fastly without exploring. Most of the game is spent battling and platforming, the ship battles, puzzle elements and tower defense elements are less. But those mini games can then be played seperatly with leaderboards etc... on Openfeint
