Steam Summer Sale! June 30th - July 10th

Yeah for 8 dollars it's a steal. It just got updated with a hardcore mode, new weapons, dedicated servers, and buff potions. There are plans for more streamlined multiplayer, more biomes, new multiplayer modes, extra items, ect. They claim the rest of the updates will be free.

But it's more than that. It's one of the leading virtual game distribution sites. Valve wanted a social gaming network type service, so they created steam for easy achievements, matchmaking, clans, tournaments, and basically everything else a good social gaming network would need.

I do like L4D, I think I'll get it. And yeah, I was planning on waiting.

I already have Borderlands for Xbox and I know that there is a Mac version, I was just ranting about how the Steam version is PC only so I can't partake in the sales.

And I do have L4D 1 and 2, albeit on the Xbox. Maybe I'll pick em up for Mac so I can use mods and the like.

 

After you guys buy a source game like Left 4 Dead or Counter Strike, you should check out Garry's Mod. Its the best sandbox game out there. The game has thousands of mods for it and the possibilities are endless. It's it only about 2 dollars right now!

This sale is killing me wish i had a credit card.. or at least be able to buy a form of steam credits on a pre paid card(steam should make those!!!) urgg.... I need one of those mann co supply crate keys too!!!

 

Sweet, just got the shades with my tickets, looks rad on the heavy. Planning to get like 15 bucks worth of stuff from the store, kinda interested in the summer coolers.

omg what to do?!?! I can only buy one more thing...Should I get the BFBC 2 Pack with Vietnam, the SPECACT add on and full game, or should I wait for something else?

 

WHAAT?? Battlefield Bad Company 2's up for $5?? This is MADNESS. Erm... I already have the PS3 version, and I don't want to load my computer with it. Meh.

Is there any way that I can play windows-only steam games, by using Crossover or the like? I really want to get in on these great sales.

 

You should seriously get this game now, don't wait. 10 dollars is a steal, especially since it comes with the Vietnam expansion. Oh and Rocketman I've heard that its possible. I've seen several youtube videos on it. You might want to look more into it though.

 

What?! That's insane! I got it a couple weeks back used for $35 at GameStop for my 360. The fact that it's $5 on Steam is mind-boggling.
