Well I hope you stick around. This is a bit of a masterpiece! I'm only on world 3 and it's tough as nails but so well designed and the touch controls are good. I'm glad I didn't assume it was "just another platformer" for too long. I recommend highly
Thanks very much. We have some decent heritage with platformers. We made two 2D platform-style games for Nintendo (Fluidity on Wii and Fluidity: Spin Cycle for 3DS) which had gameplay that was almost entirely dependent on puzzle design. Nintendo have very high standards, so we've spent a few years being schooled in puzzle design by our Japanese producers. It's helped the quality of our level design a huge amount.
Thank you Hey onebitbeyond, I just wanted to thank you so much for an incredible port. I have Stealth Inc. for the PS3 and maxed my times to the best of my ability, and I am having so much fun doing it all over again. I was skeptical at first as to how the controls would feel, but they work perfect for me. Thanks again!
I just received an email to say that v1.0.1 has been approved and will be live on the App Store in the next 24 hours! Fingers crossed it all works as intended and those Community Levels can be enjoyed by all.
I read all the comments, read what the game is all a bout and bought the game without thinking twice. I really want to like the game but ... I must be doing something terribly wrong .. I just can't get the hang of the controls , 90 % of the the time my thumb is the only thing that is moving ... I have to lift my thumb of the screen put it on the spot where the virtual stick is supposed to be, move about an inch. And. .. Have to start over again because somehow my thumb is not controlling the virtual stick any more... Since I am apparently am the only experiencing these dreadful control issues, I was wondering what I am doing wrong.
Just got home from work, downloading the update and buying some extra levels right away. To the person that couldn't enjoy the controls, there is another option now as Danny mentioned. I'll have to give it a go and see how they are. It'll be hard to be better than the original control in my opinion though.
I'm beating all my previous best times with the new controls. I definitely feel that they're better. Thanks
I thought I would like the new controls... Kind of. Still enjoy the old ones. I can't download the user levels though. Got a cannot connect to iTunes message. Tried again after, still nada. I'll give it a bit and try again. Anyone else having issues? Edit: never mind. Just popped into another thread and lots of people are having iTunes issues on other games.
The update is available! By the way, I liked the fixed controls better. I just think the buttons should be a little bigger on iPad. 2 dolars for almost 1000 levels. I'll get them as soon as I finish the game.
I switched to the virtual buttons, started the level, died, and my virtual buttons disappear. Rinse and repeat. Something's not working right.
Inaccurate info here, just wanted to correct it. IAP community levels is $2 for over 1,935 levels and growing. Just purchased it myself through the app from the US App Store successfully.
I haven't suffered this. It would help to know device, iOS version, etc. A small bug I've suffered is on level 4-1, when going through the teleports, if you cross over and over very fast to get the helix, there's a ghost image of the clone which stays in the helix room. Nothing serious, just so that devs know.
You don't need to repeatedly drag your thumb. Stop moving your thumb as soon as the arrow appears, just keep it in that position. You don't drag to move, you drag and then hold. It's just like an analog stick on a game pad. You can actually keep your thumb still and just rock it left and right.
I'm glad the fixed buttons are better. They are actually physically bigger than they appear. The sprite is smaller than the area that successfully triggers the movement, so that it doesn't take up too much space on screen.
