@PsYcHoNoVa: Thank you very much about the great feedback and the kind words. I'm delighted you like the game. As for achievements, since we launched without any, we wondered if it would be a good idea to add them now since it would probably mean players would have to replay the game to get some of them. What do you think? Any achievements in mind? @Keitheuwi: I'm sorry I don't get what you are saying.
I'm so happy you created this game, I absolutely love thief games! I haven't been able to play much due to moving, but I'm going to spend a lot of time at the airport next week so I sense me stealing a lot within the game!
@Woodrith: Thanks for the kind words. I hope you will like it and will enjoy playing it. If you are planning on stealing a lot of gold, you should enter the contest and show everyone how it's done Thank You Younes
thanks Great lil gem. It woyld be great if I could play it on my iPhone 5 (or even better my GS4) though since it's a bit weird to use my iPad on the metro.
I want to wait till I really took it all in and I'm glad I did. Originally I would have posted about not liking the controls, but now after giving it time I've got to admit to really liking the tilt controls a lot more than I expected. As for the gameplay...... I love it it's the kinda challenging game that you're about to put down but keep deciding to give it one more go. It's a pretty slick game and you won't be able to view a level and the blow though it since it gets harder every time also I agree that the sounds is great here as well. I actually regret using the promo as games like this one deserve more praise in the appstore
You can make the achievements "Retroactive". I've played several games that didn't have achievements upon release, but then decided to implement them. If the gameplay criteria was already met for a specific achievement before they were implemented, the player just needs to go into Game Center and it will instantly unlock. If you want to keep the achievements "general", I have a good, simple idea for them. If not, I can also give you suggestions for "specific" type achievements. You can PM me if you would like to further discuss them.
@sputnik125: Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you like the game, so much love went into making it. That said, it might be coming to iPhone, who knows @dreadnok: I was especially waiting for your feedback! Thank you very much for the kind words. I too prefer tilt and find it more responsive and "natural" to the point that I was taken by surprise by all the hate that went against it when we first launched As for the App Store, we are still trying to build exposure around the game but it is tough, we live in a world where everyone is talking and trying to be heard but very few do. Getting great feedback from you guys almost makes up for it so thank you! @PsYcHoNoVa: I like the idea of Retroactive achievements but some of the ones I had in mind cannot be done this way. This could obviously work for something like "Get 1 000 000 Gold Coins" or "Achieve a BO$$ rating in all levels" but cannot work for something like "Use a guard to go through a closed door" Spoiler like in level 11 (seriously just don't buy 8 master keys for this!) or level 26 . I'll PM you later to discuss this further.
I need to preface the review by saying that I am a casual gamer so some things that were more difficult for me might not be for an avid gamer. That being said, it took me awhile to figure out the game. Now that I have I am enjoying it. The puzzles are very challenging and require quick thought and actions. I find tilt controls on an iPad very uncomfortable so I am glad you added the joystick controls but I wish they were a little more responsive, or maybe just that the character would move more quickly especially since this game depends so much on timing. Also, I would have liked a more in-depth tutorial as it took me awhile to feel more comfortable with the game. Even now some tips and walkthroughs would really help. Also, the text within the game could be a little larger. Otherwise I think it's a great game with a lot of replay value.
That's completely understandable. Having some achievements retroactive is better than having none. It's a bonus to the players that have many hours of gameplay, not a necessity. I'm sure you'll implement them perfectly. I would definitely never buy that many keys for 1 level. I'm pretty tight when it comes to spending Gold.
Stealers Steal 1.5 - A huge update! Hi everyone, Stealers Steal has undergone a huge update that adds a lot of stuff: 1. The game is now universal, play on iPhone (4S or later, it's a bit slow on 4 but playable) or iPad (2 or later) 2. iCloud sync. You can use that either to play on iPad and continue on iPhone or just to try out dangerous things that might make you lose a lot of gold but be able to recover without starting over. 3. New achievements to be earned, 26 of them! 4. Multiple endings based on how well you play 5. Various graphical and functional updates (new share dialog, improved level clear dialog...) Check out the first page of this thread for more info. Waiting for your impressions... Regards Younes
My impressions for The Stealers Steal v1.5 There is nothing negative to say, The Stealers Steal app for your iPad is a high-energy, challenging, and smooth game that will capture your full attention from the moment you launch it.
Graphics in this game are clean and crisp with a music that suits the mood in the game and environment. A delightful steathy-puzzle experience that will keep you going at it.
Hi - are the controls still tilt only or are there now traditional type controls that don't use tilt?
@somedumbgamer: it's been a while since the game offers both tilt and on-screen joystick controls (you can choose the control scheme you like in the settings). You should give tilt controls a chance (especially on iPhone) but if you don't like them, just use the joystick.
Didnt like the tilt control as I am playing it on iPad. But the on screen joystick works fine and well.
I am pretty early on but so far I like it. The joystick works fine, the soundfx are well put together and everything seems to click. I am sure it will get pretty challenging as well. So for 99cents if you are interessted go for it
