    Hey my friend!

    The letters refer to the powerups you pick up.

    C is Cannon
    L is laser
    W is wave
    M is Missile
    P is Pods

    You can have either C, L or W as main weapon and collecting multiples of C and W makes them more powerful.

    You can also have one set of Pods and up to 3 multiples of Missile for kick ass weapons

    And she says "Gyaku" which is Japanese for back - my little throwback to games like Streetfighter II "Haaaaadouken!"

    This is very exciting, looking forward to downloading and trying it out!

    Also excited to learn about Codea; I've been teaching myself programming by making games in PICO-8, which is also based on Lua, so Codea looks likes an excellent next step, if and when I want to make games without PICO-8's restrictions (though I'm loving those restrictions atm.)

    Thank you for this game, and the story of your gamemaking commute!

    Your game iz like win i found out about PS1's Test Drive Off-Road 3. A Racer that i had to work at to get to the finish line while having fun exploring the tracks. The tapping of the accelerometer button to get up hills, recovering after hitting walls & track objects & jumping ramps helps me reminisce on that this too iz a heArtwork of someone who wanted to make something different wit adding more fun to the genre

    A Richard where you at Yo!?

    I have been working on this Boss going on two weeks now, HELP!########

    I need some hints on destroying this behemoth

    Although alot iz working against Ensing Rook & Onalee i do believe once the Starceptre iz fully accepted by these two that their ship will reveal something special to help bend the odds in their favor

    lol, that's my favourite boss of the whole game and in v1.1 he's slightly easier.

    Strategy is to look for the 'sweet spot' on the very edges when he moves over to one side, the spot when you find it means all the bullets flying around miss you. Start by taking out the double turret ends and then you can take down the missile modules. When he's in the middle
    Find the pattern between the middle canon shooting to strafe past him adding in hits. The more units you take down left and right of the main body the more damage the body takes and the less bullets flying around to hit you.

    Above all stay away from the walls as there's risk of gettting hit by the indestructible meteors.

    For weapons just keep topping up with energy bars and the best weapon to have is the pods as they let you hit outside the middle zone

    Great news!!! The new version of Starsceptre is out ! It has a pause button, autofire and a cinema mode!!!

    Time to start working on the on screen joystick controls - enjoy!!!

    Control updates - alternative systems

    Two controls systems that Billy will be testing soon:

    First is on screen joystick left/right with two buttons one for shoot (autofire) and one for loop the loop:

    So in the very next version on screen joystick has been added so you can choose between tilt or touch! Coming very soon!
