Hey iPhone bros! Here's some more info on Starhogs, one of our upcoming games this Spring: "Rig up your hogs, strap yourself in, and head out into orbit for the fiercest battles this side of Uranus. Obliterate the competition with a Cruise Missile or close in for some potshots from your Vulcan gun. Not your style? Don't worry, you've got more than 20 ways to kill someone. Nuke some asteroids for an extra payday, but remember, they're the only thing protecting you from a re-entry hangover you won't wake up from. Take out some chumps and unlock heaps of new gear in 32 campaign levels, or ride into the online arena to face curly tails from all over the universe. But remember, in space no one can hear you squeal." And some screenies for y'all: Starhogs is slated to launch in April!
This game looks nice! Hope these will be priced nice as well. It would be between this and the new iSoldierAnts game.
Just in case y'all missed this, here's a video of Starhogs. I've been playing this game non-stop for the past 5 days. It is ridiculously fun! I am new to the turn-based strategy style game and I am now a fan! We'll be showing this off at WWDC and E3 fo sho.
The Toybot Table is vapourware. =] Anyway, the game looks great! Any idea of when it will be released?
"Exactly" is a bit of stretch. The only thing similar between them is 2D turn based action. This game uses a completely different element of gameplay, using action points (aka energy) to do attacks and to move. You could essentially shoot more than 1 time per turn (depending on how much energy the weapon takes) or not attack at all if you move a lot. Worms allowed you to move and shoot once in one turn, but in a time limit. This is a huge difference as it changes the strategy element completely.
You pretty much nailed right there. The Toy Bot table has been submitted...we're waiting for Apple's approval! I know, we're feeling impatient too.
