No and no, unfortunately. Some parts look decent, but it's nothing like upscaling a game like MC2, which looks flawless.
Wait, so MC2 for iphone looks great on iPad with fullforce? Don't need to buy the iPad version then? Thanks for the info mate. Seeing that gameloft's games don't have much (or any) difference between iPhone and iPad version apart from resolution, there is no need to pay extra right? Incidentally, does sacred odyssey (iPhone) look just as good as MC2 on iPad? What do you guys use? Fullforce or RetinaPad?
I'd say 95% of HD Gamelft games 100% rip offs. MC2 runs smoother than the HD version with FullForce, and is cheaper. They literally apply the same effect FullForce has to games, make the ui slightly larger, and call it HD. So no, unless your against jail breaking, there's no reason to buy the HD versions. I use both, because they do work differently. But I try every iPhone game I buy with both of them, just to see if it helps. Im all for supporting devs that put effort into an HD version, but Gameloft shamelessly rips us off. I'm no programmer, but I'm thinking they could make most of their games universal very easily. All the assets are the same, besides the ui and menus. The file size for a universal MC2 would be slightly larger, but wed only have to buy it once.
Well the Itouch version is $0.99 now, got that to play. screw the HD version. it probably will never come.
This thursday? not likely. Next thursday? equally not likely. When we're all making snowmen in hell: still no.
At this point, there must be a problem. This is way outside their normal iPhone/iPod to iPad release window.
I bought the Iphone version when it was on sale. Played it for 10 minutes, and I really don't care for this one. I got killed almost instantly everytime. C&C is way better then. MAybe that's why there will be no Ipad version, who knows.. time will tell.
I think you've hit the nail on the head; you sucked during the 10 minutes you played it, 5 of which you probably spent watching the intro movie and having the game load, therefore there will be no iPad version. I mean you didn't even have to throw in the fact that you think Command and Conquer is better, I was already sold. At that point you were simply flogging a dead horse. I mean if Gameloft don't keep everyone updated 24 hours a day with every minute detail, how the hell can they expect anyone to want to play a game when it's released?
I was one of those double dippers...I guess I was just slow on the uptake but once I figured out the game I just stopped buying the iphone versions, unfortunately for gameloft that also means that I get time to read reviews, etc so what used to be day one purchases where I made up my own mind on the quality of the game now I just end up skipping more than I buy.
New gameplay videos for Starfront: Collision for iPad. It says in the description it's coming for iPad and iPad 2, which seems to hint that they were optimizing the game for iPad 2... Without further ado here's the video's from their youtube page. Myriads vs. Wardens
