I hope I can find a Tetris code; after the switch they pulled by removing the old app and forcing a new purchase I feel entitled to the game (since I did buy the early version).
That won't work as you can only redeem a code once. Just for the hell of it I retried the one you sent me but it said that the code had already been used.
Erm, it's the New Tetris, not Old... Confirmed NEW tetris was downloaded by my card, I had old tetris (v1.6.23 18.5MB; and new was installed as well without deleting the old one... new = v1.0.0 15.7 MB). Both old and new are living happily on my iDevice
I bet someone at EA is just kicking themselves over this. After all, one of the big reasons for doing these giveaways is to see a big rise in downloads in the App Store and get noticed. All week long folks have been downloading something that's officially been pulled, so ain't gonna show up in any stats! Whoever forgot to flip the switch from old app to new, or simply didn't submit the right app id, cost 'em a lot of new eyeballs.

I have both versions of Tetris on my iDevice right now, and I think price gouging aside, the newer version is better. The one touch control scheme is definitely a bit of a game changer, and it just feels more natural to me than the swipe control scheme. If you think you'll be bothered by the excessive nature of the IAP, I would stick with the old one.
that's why i think it's better to offer codes and ask for a PM... too many lurkers roaming the shadows... that aside, if anyone has a spare Star Walk or Tetris code, can i request it?

Well at least they got the Tetris thing straightened out. Unfortunately, now I'm looking for a code again...
How bad are the IAPs? This mixup is pretty annoying. I didn't bother trying to get a code from a local Starbucks or through TA because I bought the old version of Tetris a long time ago. I've wanted to new one but don't like the idea of having to pay twice for the same game. Oh well I guess.
