The only time I see more than one out at a time is if they have leftovers from the week(s) before. They don't discard them or anything and some weeks are obviously more popular than others. The manager at one of the Starbucks I pop in told me they might start making these codes print on your receipt. They see that there is waste in the codes and so they want to keep them to customers only. Not sure if that will happen but I am sure if the system gets abused enough they will have to think of something. Already they have (at a different Starbucks) made me download the app on the spot. So some Starbucks are getting wiser than others it appears.

As well, note that they're alternating offering apps, songs, tv, books, etc., so apps aren't available every week, and definitely not on a predictable schedule! So far it's usually just songs with an occasional app thrown in instead.
