I just wanted to share that I bought a $4 frozen coffee drink from Starbucks yesterday, and Spy Mouse is 99 cents. I have not bought Spy Mouse. I am ashamed.
Why? If you reward Starbucks with business, and Firemint with a download (and possibly a good review) of Spy Mouse, then you just show Starbucks/Apple/Firemint that their new experiment is a success and encourage them to do it more! (And hopefully you enjoyed your beverage, and used the wifi there to download your new app! ) I still think this is the new Free App A Day - an ability to give away a large, but controlled amount of apps, without having to go free and lose your ranking...

Interesting too is the Starbucks link and sponsored message you get in itunes after you redeem your code. Nice tie in.
Do you actually have to purchase something at Starbucks to get a promo card, or can you just go up to the register and jack some?

I predict a fairly short end to these Starbucks free app codes. With all the websites where people are taking stacks of them and then giving the codes out online, that seems to defeat the purpose of it (for Starbucks). Or perhaps Starbucks will start handing them out upon request, limited to one per customer. Something like that.
Yeah, my store got a shit-ton of the cards and I grabbed a stack to share with u guys but apparently the podcast guys feel like I robbed others of the opportunity to get one... We still have plenty of cards but I'm guessing the TouchArcade guys don't want us posting the codes anymore... And I respect them and their forums
And because of these forums I've told my employees to keep them by the register so we can keep an eye on them...
