Only 6 achievements to go! Can anyone help with the friendship one? Code is V7XS2. So many thanks if you can!
Picked this up over the holidays, and it's fantastic. A damned shame it has flown under the radar so long. It's free right now. Has IAP, but it's completely unnecessary for enjoyment or progression. The game is a delight off the bat, and gets more fun the longer you play it as you unlock all the goodies. I'm usually not an achievement junky, but this game really encourages you to knock them all off so you can get the new ship parts. And the achievements aren't a grind, most of them encourage you to try different types of ship layout and build strengths. I do have some questions: 1. Do weapon/shield/engine buffs stack? If I've got two weapon buff blocks next to my main weapon, will that make it stronger than if I'd had only one buff next to it? 2. How do the shield/hull parts affect your ship? How much better is two shields vs one? What about 5 shields vs 4? What changes? Refresh rate? Do they all fail at once and all return at once, and the only difference is overall shield HP? 3. I assume engine position/direction matters, but how so? Will side-facing engines help me spin? Front-facing engines help me slow? Is there any advantage to adding front/side facing engines? 4. How do the ship layouts differ other than number of part slots? I'm using tooth as it's got the most space. Crab is close, and shaped differently, but how is it an advantage if it's got fewer part slots? 5. Is using red shields like a voluntary impossible mode? Every time I equip them, I am laser-roasted long before my green or even blue shields would have failed under the projectile hits. 6. Would a super-magnet be game-breaking? Most of my deaths are accidentally running into the wrong part and crippling my ship. I would love a super-magnet part that pushes unwanted parts in proportion to how high your part level is. With blue engines at level 2, it would push red/green engines away a bit, but when you max your engines, it would push all other engine colours very hard. 7. Could you please, please, PLEASE port it to the AppleTV? Pretty please with sugar on top? This would blow all the other ATV4 games out the airlock, their arms and legs wiggly-waving in the torture of hard vacuum. There's so few good games on the ATV4 now, if you ported, it would get featured by Apple in a heartbeat, and I bet really drive attention to the game.
I have just started this game also and I'll tell you what I know and think. 2) I do believe engine placement does effect turning, stoping, and if you even travel straight in a line. 3) the hull parts just add straight HP and that it. The shield I believe increases the stats of the type of shield that you have and total amount it can absorb. So you will regen faster with more for the regen shield. Everything else I'm still learning Here is a friend code if you want to add me and I'll add you if you will give me yours A3UEJ
I remember playing this game a long time ago, and looked it up again and saw that there have been no updates in (a day over) two years. Have you completely stopped doing anything with the game? I know that myself and a lot of other people would play it again if you were to give it an update. I know that no one will probably respond to this, but I may as well try.
Hello, if anyone could help me to win "Quick hands" achievement, because i can't... How could we succeed in it?
After a couple years hiatus, we're back. Took a lot more work than I expected to get the game running again with all the outdated libs, architectures, languages changes, etc. It was fun to dive back into it though! As always, if you have any suggestions or requests, I wouldn't mind doing another update while it's fresh in my head.
Thank you so much for updating this! And i think it is now free for some time? Everyone who loves dual sticks should give it a try. For suggestions, how does making some of the last blueprints easier to earn? OR have big ships drop blueprint parts that we can use to design our own pattern? I had made it to scorpion ship in the past and that was my limit :/
Never played this before so glad this thread was bumped. I'll be buying an IAP to say 'thanks' to the dev as i'm really enjoying it. I'm fine with the inertia when you move around, great idea about changing ships and the blueprints, really makes it stand out from other twin stick space shooters
MFI controls? I love this game. But I feel MFI controller support is a must have for this genre of games.
Still wish it was Anarchist in the title not Anarkist ! Not a major issue but i thought the original title was quite weird when i first saw it
The whole game is a boss mode! Kidding aside though, I do like the idea of a boss run mode with time trials. It's now on our TODO list. It's been so long since we updated, free seemed like a good idea to celebrate. All I really want at this stage is for people to enjoy it! I'd recommend trying to unlock the crab ship, it's my favourite. Just load up your ship with as many blue shields as you can, and start eating damage. You need to absorb 15k in one round to unlock the crab. Agreed. It'll be a ton of work though because we'd have to re-work the garage and all the menus -- to support MFI, you have to make the entire game work without a touch screen. It originally was, but it kept looking like "anti christ" at first glance. That's honestly the only reason we changed it.
But. You can do a "lazy" MFI support. No? Menus are still touch only, and controllers works for controlling the ship. It is better than no controller support at all in my opinion. "Lazy" controller support would add alot to this game.
You'd think so, right? Last time we looked into doing this, that's what I expected. But it turns out if you add MFI support, you have to support every screen without touch. Which is really stupid. The game would work better with twin sticks, but the garage clearly works better with a touch screen.
There's currently a kickstarter campaign for a game that (clearly) must have been inspired by Starborn Anarkist: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/strayfawnstudio/nimbatus-the-space-drone-constructor Although the creator claims to never have played this... ;-)
