We've been toying with the idea of more mini-bosses, especially in the late game. I completely agree with you about the bosses that require thought. Way more fun.
Sadly codes are 1 use only in this game, and that one is marked as used. Happy to use one of yours if you message me another! My current code is A6GSB, but I can generate more if that one gets used.
So I recently got this game a few days ago and never got to sit down to play it due to work. Think I've clocked like 4 hours in total on my phone. 10 mins ago having a drink in Starbucks, I racked 2k kills, and I thought to myself, hey this newbie just owned all these toucharcade veterans heh. Little did I know that the top player has 5k kills -_- Great. So much for boasting
Feedback to dev: I feel that the late game seems easier as compared to the mid game (400-500ish) mainly because the mobs aren't threatening enough, and rackin up kills with a fully kitted ship will generate more hp consumables and power ups, leaving last minute power ups if needed. Between my 500ish kills to 2k kills, I never did get close to dying. Due to the abundance of power ups lying around. Only screwed myself when I flew into a green powerup amidst all the chaos (curse u small phone screen) Would suggest more variety instead of just throwing additional same stuff we've seen over and over, like adding random skills etc to the various mobs or bosses. Just my two cents. Thanks for the hours of fun with my 2bucks heh
And probably less explosives in the bosses' structure? Most of the time they die without even appearing on my screen -_-
Five stars ya'll... I had simply not bought this game at release, not because of lack of interest, but just a full library. Glad I finally got it! Love the customization aspect. I've been wanting another take on the Tumiki Figher/BlastWorks! game idea (as you are playing and blasting enemies, you can attach their weapons to your ship... pretty awesome) and this "scratches that itch" haha! The challenge is great, too; no matter how decked out or under (Mosquito) you still have to have some skill and different ship designs take different skill. Your massed ship is a beast to turn; your fast one zips around but can be taken out. THere is no perfect ship design I have found yet. Also, love that the Achievements actually have something attached to them, not just "Yay, you got a medal." You actually unlock stuff, and there is a lot to unlock! I'd concur with more bosses and/or mini-bosses... Man, even a feature that lets us design and submit ship designs. That may be a too big feature, unless it was profitable/reasonable for you guys. This is a feature complete game and you all deserve the financial success that should come with it.
I appreciate the sentiment, but unfortunately "financial success" and "indie game development" rarely go together. We're certainly trying, but advertising is expensive, and we're having a lot of difficulty getting people to see the game in the first place. The ones that do seem to love it, but that's still a very small group. Consider yourself a member of an exclusive club.
I'll see if I can get an article approved on Game Mob, that should help you out a bit with exposure. Starborn deserves so much more attention
If someone will return the sentiment, thanks.. M8DBR Friend code.... I dont know what will happen when you do enter my code, but I'm intrigued by the possibility
Is it the title? Can people located your game? I just tried to find a Facebook page for it to share w friends but could not find it... A place to post and share pics of our ship configs, etc... I'm an ideas Mann, so just trying to help so future updates/games of this caliber can be produced!
Updating the facebook page now. Apparently it had become unaccessible due to new FB requirements for content we were lacking. In the mean time, our website (zemindgames.com) is good for sharing... it has a trailer, screenshots, streaming music from the game, wallpapers, reviews, etc. And thanks.
