I've just noticed the same thing happening if I don't have a connection when I start up the game, but regain it later. Working on a fix now. Thanks for the feedback!
Yeah, I've been having a lot of issues with my wi-fi lately, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case on my end as well. Thank you for jumping on the issue so quick!! =oD
We have put quite a lot of thought into this, and we're having difficulty. I wish I had thought of it earlier on (won't make that mistake again). The best we've been able to come up with is different shaped orbs for the different colour upgrades. Would be sufficient? Would it even help? Do you have any other ideas? I'm all ears.
My service provider slows down my 3g speed to 16kbps after 1GB spent, and I've had the achievements appear over and over again every time I loaded the game. I've achieved the mosquito blueprint around 20 times now... Oh, and the game crashed several times, I'm afraid because of the connection issues when the 3g speed is slow.
So it gets your seal of approval, I really just needed a strong recommendation to push me over the edge on this one...buying now
I'm wondering if the problem I'm having has something to do with the opacity. In the "how to play menu" it shows green, red, and blue examples of the gun, engine, and shield parts and I can tell them apart there without a problem. In the how to play menu, though, the glowing "orb" they're in looks brighter and less opaque than it does in the game itself. I'd be fine with different shaped orbs too.

MFi controller support. =oP **edit** Just to be clear, I know this takes time (if it's even considered a viable option), and do NOT expect it to be in any updates that are being worked on ATM... Just throwing it out there for maybe possible future updates. =o)
We're actively looking into this. The main annoyance is that you have to support both form-fitting (which is great) and stand-alone controllers. And for the stand-alone ones, the touch screen is completely disabled. So we'd have to come up with a controller-based interface for every screen of the game, not just the main twin-stick shooter part.
The Burst Engine unlock requirement is kill 100 enemies in one round without thrusting. How do you do that? I can handle most enemies without using the engines but a boss always shows up well before 100 enemies and I can't beat a boss without moving. ..... Nevermind, the Hammer had enough space to load up on gear!
Yep, tried them all. Always get a 'already used or invalid' message, including the code above. I figured I was just late to the party, but I wonder if the system isn't working right? I am iPad Air, latest iOS release. Strangeness!
Just a note to anyone having trouble with the share codes... if you cancel the sharing email (rather than sending it), we cancel the generated share code as well. Sorry for any confusion!
Glad this big update came out that gave attention to the game, else I'd never have played it. Excellent game, but instead of having late game be completely swarmed with units I'd rather have boss fights that require thought. I like the bosses that needed specific sections destroyed.
