This was one of the greatest, I hope the update comes with some new content. I will go ahead and assume the Dev is simply too busy working on the SEQUEL, am I rite?!?
I still enjoy this game, but I've given up hope of ever seeing an update. It's been almost six months now
Patience, young grasshoppers. It was simply a matter of trying to keep a roof over our heads and food in our bellies. There's no question of if it's coming out, only when. We've also started work on our next game, though it's far too early to give any details of that.
Pff, forget food! Glad to eat you have a roof though I'm really looking forward to this update, and now even more so for your next game Good luck!
The update is complete! It's been submitted, we're just waiting on the Apple reviewers. Barring any kind of catastrophe, it should be out within a week! Here's a quick summary of what's new: Added: - Leaderboards - New control options - New ship parts - New enemies - New achievements - One-off bonuses - Rewards for referring friends Tweaks: - Harder bosses - More diverse enemies - Turned off friendly-fire for red super mode - Garage stats are more accurate - More accurate achievement progress info Fixes: - All achievements are now possible
Thanks for the update on the update. I still really enjoy playing this game and it hasn't left my device since launch and won't for a long time to come.
So is this related to the Captain Forever game that was available to play in browser on the PC. The ship looks exactly the same as is the concept. You make a ship by connecting square blocks then shoot enemies arcade style to get more blocks to add to your ship. Either way, looks cool.
The fact that ships are made out of blocks is similar, but this game is more about the strategy of designing your ship before the battle rather than growing it as you play. And more about classic arcade boss fights during the game than long-term strategy... I think of it more as Interstate '76 meets Star Control, 2 games I loved growing up which definitely guided some of our design decisions. Curious to hear others' opinions though.
This is on iphone, why not stick with this? And in terms of the spaceship creation, no, not that I can think of
You beat me to the punch! The update is indeed out. Please please PLEASE post your thoughts here. We're always looking to improve, and many of things we added in this release came from suggestions in this forum. I also can't wait to see the leaderboards fill up. I'd love to see how many people can beat my records. In the testing of this release, my top score was 35 boss kills, but I have no doubt a few folks here will top that.
Welp... the new control options rock. I had just re-installed this when TA made the announcement about the update, so I hadn't gotten very far yet. No clue about the new parts and what not. I have seen a few new enemies though... the group of laser guys that move like a snake - very cool... =oP Thank you for the update! I'm pretty excited about getting further into this one - I didn't really get too far into it the first time around... I think I had just bought FFVI at the time, so... that kinda took the attention away from everything else. =o/ ***and thank you for the Mosaica gift! My kids are having a blast with it ATM. =oP
Did the original version have IAPs? I can't remember. Anyway, awesome update, although currency is earned slower than I remember. One question, what's the difference between the green red and blue engines? I could easily tell the difference between the shields and guns, but never the engines.
Yes, but you really don't need them. Honestly. Once you get to the point where you can routinely kill 5-6 bosses in a round, I find I have too much money rather than too little. Hence the new one-off bonuses... Red engines have the highest top speed, but the lowest acceleration. Green engines have medium speed, medium acceleration. Blue engines have the slowest top speed, but the best acceleration, and they also stop you quickly when you aren't thrusting (useful for dodging or collecting upgrades).
