Hi everyone, it's Matthew from Shadegrown Games. Just wanted to say thanks for checking out Starbloom! It's our first iOS app and our first game together as a team, so we've been learning a lot and are excited to bring that knowledge to our next project.

I experimented with the price a little bit earlier this week as I'd gotten lots of different conflicting advice. For now, the regular price is actually $1.99, but I'd love to hear your opinions - do you think it's more a $0.99 game? (keeping in mind we don't do any in-app purchases, etc.)

    thanks,
    matthew

  3. Hello, first thanks for letting some of us try this game out for free. I do think it is a very high quality product, and it is fun, I like it and would have no problem recommending it to anyone.

The graphics look great on my new ipad and the game controls well.

As for the pricepoint, yes, I think you would be better off sith a 99 cent price because many gamers will just buy any app for a buck, but when it goes any higher, they have to think about it and/or do more research.

Since you are a smaller indie, it would make sense to me to lower the price and try to get more sales. Just my gut opinion. These 2 dollar pricepoints are really bizarre kind of halfway between a cheap buck, or a more expensive premium price. We don't see the $2 price point all that much.

It would be cool too if you would consider making an option for landscape mode instead of portrait. While I think the game looks good in both, for the new ipad, it feels a little more natural to play in the landscape format.

Thanks. Good luck, and as I said before, it is a solid product. Keep up the good work!

I agree with Connector.... I think $0.99 is a good starting point (1) only because your a smaller newer co, and the market is flooded with .99 cent games.

I think having a free day gets the word out and hopefully gets you a 'real' mix of reviews that will boost sales. The price change or drop most users watch for, that's how I seen your game and the initial picture caught my attention weather it was a star app/game etc. Was going to post the game sooner but seen it was a fairly new game and i wanted to test out 1st.

Good fun game and good luck! :D

Thanks for the suggestions, all. I'm going to try it at $0.99 for a while and see how it does.
