From the game, whatever canteena or port you are in, click your character portrait in the upper left corner of the screen and then click the inventory tab on the right side of the screen and then when it opens you will see the salvage button appear on the lower right side of the screen. Billy
I'm level 26 now. I've gotten my gear all to almost level 4 except the storm trooper helmet because it's max level 3. I still find myself loving the Bowcaster. I haven't gotten it to level 4 yet. I'm having a rough time getting the minerals. I finally got the minerals to up my chest armor. Now I'm just making the cash. It costs $20,000 to do it hehe I still haven't joins a cartel. I'm thinking about joining one soon. If anyone is in an active cartel that has a spot I'd like to apply. Billy
I feel like there's a specific spot in the single-player story that you unlock the ability to salvage and sell. For most people, it's around level 10. I didn't replay any missions, and just played straight through the single-player levels, and I unlocked it when I was still level 9. But I imagine if some people maybe play a few missions or daily missions over and over again, they could be at a higher level before progressing the story and unlocking salvage and sell.
How far have you progressed through the story? What part are you at? It's not just level. It unlocks at a point in the story. Billy
Yeah you should be getting the option to sell/salvage around Level 10, which is almost always locked to a story mission because as far as I know story missions have a set experience amount so everyone will be hitting the same level at the same time.
Ok that makes more sense. I'm reactivating the second scanner on Mataou which has a minimum level of 7, so maybe I'm ahead in player level and just not at the point yet where I unlock salvaging.
I tried playing again once this hit global release, right in the middle of crafting a bajillion crystals together to make one upgrade on a helmet I thought to myself wtf am I doing? This isn't even fun, it's more a chore than anything, and I can't even find the pleasure in playing this even half assing it while watching tv at the same time.
Just had a letter saying that the cartels are locked till lvl 20! So I will re make TA Cartel then, unless someone hits it before me (I am lvl 18 at the mo) - edit it is still there, so maybe when I hit lvl 20 I can actually let people in Got 120 crystals as compensation
OK so the TA Cartel is now open for business*. Search for Touch Arcade in the cartels, and ask to join. Reply in here with your in game name so I know your from TA and I'll add you in. Not sure if other members of the cartel can accept invites (as its just me in there at the moment) but I am sure we can sort something out when we have some people in the cartel. *not actually sure how the Cartel system works, and what you do in it. Assume its like a friends list or similar. As a side note I just did a side mission where I had to defeat some droids or something, and got two 3 out of 5 star weapons! which is pretty cool
On my cartel page it shows I'm in the Touch Arcade cartel and it has 40/40 members. It also shows that I've been continually promoted and I'm currently Master. Did you promote me? Or does everyone's cartel page say the same about them while we're under level 20? Curt Needsaride @curtneedsaride
Not in the same one as me!! Ah well Edit - just seen that one. Can anyone see the one I have made? Maybe it's messed up as I shouldn't have been able to create it in the first place!
I don't know how I feel about this game. I sometimes love it and sometimes bored with it. It is very repetitive. You can do the story to try tonget out of that but then youbhave to levek up tonget some story missions. The rest of the time you are just doing missions to get either upgrades, items, or level ups. After awhile that gets pretty boring. Right now only thing you can do is buy powers and get different weapons to change the repeating levels. The chat... Yeah not worth the time. People being arses or just the same questions over and over again. This is a average gane that has stars wars which makes it above average, however i do have moments wondering what is the point. I will keep playing this game but i would be suprise if I delete it in 2-3 weeks.
I have been playing for about 4 days and at level 22. Having fun so far. A few tips I have: 1. Do not salvage anything unless you have a duplicate of it or it has reached it maxed star AND max level AND you have better gear. You can get a massive amount of chromium for maxing and upgrading these items for the armory and also you need to max out this gear in order to get blueprints for your crew upgrades. 2. Easy 15 chromium for each unique gear. Upgrade your random 1 star gear with one 2* and one 1* desh to max it and get 15 chromium. So for very few materials, you are getting 15 chromium. 3. There are two versions (1* and 2*) of damaged Street Punk, damagaed Hutt Guard, damaged Survivalist, & damaged Scavenger gear. To unlock it in the armory, it is best to upgrade the 1* version instead of the 2* version if you have both since it requires way less materials and gives the exact same armory reward result. 4. Don't worry about leveling up super fast since the player rating requirements scale up with player level. The daily crew missions get harder as well with player level and if you don't give time to level up your crew as well then you might find yourself unable to beat any of them and unable to easily level up your crew. Blueprints are important and you can't upgrade your crew if you don't max gear out for the armory. If you level too fast and your gear is ignored, you will have a much harder time later. So in summary: Do LOTS of repeatable missions for leveling mats, max out low level gear to get chromium in the armory, make premium salvage pulls with that chromium and get better gear to wear. Do more repeatable runs and level up that new fancy gear you pulled and this will boost your player rating very high for your level and it will be easier qualifying for the higher tier loot on missions and will make finding Co-Op partners easier.

It's triggered on a specific mission, not level. It is quite possible to be level 10 and not have it unlocked, I've seen people complain about it in global. If I remember correctly, it's the second mission once you meet Shortpaw in the marketplace (2nd hub). So, if you're gaining your XP primarily from doing daily opps, assaults and sector battles, you may never unlock salvage and sell.
In my cartel, our top 5 or so players don't seem to sleep and have 2500+ gear ratings so they can run the T3 difficulties solo. Even then Nerf Herders kick the crap out of us by a huge margin now, so they must have the bulk of their crew living on Mountain Dew. I usually end 1 day events with around 30-50k vp, and that's seriously all the stamina I have to run the same map over and over and over. I'm hoping (and expecting) that events get more involved as the game updates.
