So I installed the APK on bluestacks. But once I open the app, it stays stuck on the game's loading screen. I have a gaming rig, so graphics card and ram are sufficient. Any trouble shooting tips for the stuck loading screen?

    Thanks

Some just have too high of expectations. This isn't politics. It's got a great social system and whatever franchise/style of gaming you like makes loads the difference on your bias towards a game. It's an mmo and it works like one. Can't expect a company not to try and get their due with pay schemes, especially with something this free and this popular. There's no guarantee its pay to win or not. Stop judging and start playing. Plus if you're that worried about player and cartel rankings then you should probably be involved in something a bit more competitive. If you don't like it, fine. But to say it's unworthy is a long shot from the truth. It's put together well and will continue to get better.

Mmo. Always online. It's a given. And as with any game almost these days, the f2p is there, but it only speeds up progress. Not too many pay to win mechanics. Depending on your definition of the phrase.its not disheartening by any means unless you're a baby who pays too much attention to what others are doing.

Using bluestacks is specifically against Kabam's TOS and you can be banned for using it. There's a pretty heated thread about this in the SWU forums, my guess is that they did whatever they could to block it for the launch.

Definitely not pay to win, since the only thing to spend on is more storage (which is quite generous to start, unlike Future Fight), and random pulls of the loot machine.

You get a healthy supply of premium currency for maxing out gear, even trash gear you would otherwise never use. I have three characters at level 40 and have not felt a compulsion to spend, though I did just because I was enjoying the game and the devs deserved it.

I will say that the grind to get from blue to purple and beyond rarity gear is much steeper than getting from any lower tier to the next, but generally to be expected. The loot drops are a lot more generous in the 1.0 than the soft launch.

Yes, it's your typical pseudo-action-RPG-upgrade/evolve-collectable-loot-fest, loaded with numerous currencies/crystals and tickets, all wrapped in a better than average Star Wars themed package. There's almost enough Star Wars accoutrements to make it enjoyable, but ultimately, its charms fade and it starts to feel more like a slotmachine/treadmill.

With that said, what it does, it does well. There's somewhat of a plot, some interesting characters, and a decent amount of character customization. Otherwise, for me, there's nothing new, innovative or interesting about it other than it takes place in the time leading up to the new movies.

When will Mobile Star Wars games stop being ass? Like seriously; pandemic has us going back in 2010 with an awesome battlefront for iOS; but it was pulled as the company was liquidated and now EA (Eat Ass) Entertainment releases this Uncooked chicken on a stick expecting us to buy both the grill; propane & a fork so we don't poke ourselves on the Kabob! Well I say no!

...I thought the Star Wars Rebels: Recon Missions game was pretty good. I mean, I liked it. Not sure if it's your cup of camomile

I still don't quite understand: isn't it a given that, if you pay to speed up your progress, pay-to-win mechanics are included? Also, paying attention to what others are doing--isn't that what we're supposed to do in an MMO? I'd think what others are doing (paying developers to win) is a very pertinent aspect of the game, and--in effect--these mechanics almost always create an uneven playing field for gamers altogether.

    Toucharcade to the rescue!

Thank you guys, for your reviews and opinions on this one. As much as I love Star Wars, this doesn't seem worth the download. I really don't understand why there isn't a good, premium, Star Wars game for iOS, that isn't a port or a platformer. I mean, I'm sure there's an entire generation that now possesses some disposable income and would jump at the opportunity to play any good Star Wars game.

I definitely enjoy the Rebels game. Feels like a great fan-service platformer with a fun city building side quest. I imagine I'll try this one eventually, but not sure if it will hit the mark for me. But I've tried every other SW game and even have a folder full of them.

Awesome so far. About 10-15 minutes in, with several interruptions showing it is a good mobile port of you are playing on the go. Love the graphics, controls smoothly, and F2P is not in your face (so far). I'll add more as I play more. But what are you waiting for, it's F2P, try it out. Iphone6 is my platform btw.

I always love how in every f2p thread people keep wondering why there isn't a premium game like this. Don't people realize that premium games don't make money on mobile these days. Yet this crap pollutes every thread. It isn't rocket science to figure out why most games are f2p. It's the only way to survive, esp for bigger devs.

What level do you have to be to play multi, or start salvaging things? I'm like level 8 now.

To me it's ok, Diablo-esque but not anywhere near its level.

DO YOU HEAR ME BLIZZARD! MAKE DIABLO IOS THE FIRST $50 PREMIUM MOBILE GAME AND I ALONG WITH DROVES OF OTHERS WILL STILL BUY IT!

    That is all.

I'm really enjoying this game. I haven't spent a cent. I've played for the last 2 hours. It's fun. I chatted with a bunch of people. I'm waiting for my rewards. I had forgotten way back when TA did a story I had signed up and as a result I'll be getting a storm trooper helmet, a rookie for my crew, and a high powered blaster pistol.

The game itself and the missions are engaging and fun. I'm actually quite surprised.

Is there an official TA cartel?

I created 'Touch Arcade' - don't know if it gets more official than that! Not sure how the invites work though, I left it open to accept them but I can't seem to access the Cartel page...

I likewise am really enjoying it, haven't paid anything and have got some fairly decent gear!

Also in reply to the other post, it's level 9 or 10 to salvage stuff, and not sure about multiplayer - I haven't got it yet. I am level 16 FYI.

Anyone know if we get lightsabers...

Well if you figure it out I definitely want in. I have played for 3 hours straight. The game has me. I'm pissed because there was a special and it's gone now and I should have purchased it.

My in game name is, lol:

    BigDaddy ShadowLord

Yea yea I thought I could change it later on and truthfully I didn't think I was going to stick with the game. I hope they add the ability to change it lol

I'm level 11 now. I have very decent gear and haven't spent a dime. If that special comes up though I'm in. With cloud saving I have no problem with it.

Also you can salvage at level 10. I now have a blaster at max level 3 and it's kicking a$$!

I just got invited to do a coop mission so I'm goin back to it.

    Billy
