Wow, are you serious? That makes no sense. If my iPhone 4 can run it, you should more than be able to as well.
No reason an iPod Touch 4G shouldn't be able to run this either! It can run Tiny Tower no problem. I'm hoping this is just a mistake
Essentially a cool reskin of Tiny Towers, but more geared towards spending money one way or another as getting buxs is far less generous than Tiny Towers. Although the skin and sounds are nice, I just can't get into it after having spent so much time unlocking and maxing everything possible in TT. The time required just isn't worth what feels to be a replay.
I think you should not rate a game you can't play on your device. The rating system gets useless and provide no info for people who can actually play the game.
He's not that far off though with his low rating. Tiny tower was great when it came out, but all this is is a hackneyed re skin. Sure new sounds & characters, but this could've been something more and because of this I'm left with something more to be desired. Nimblebit, your game is boring and was deleted off of my device 15 seconds after the tutorial.
I've had this since the first soft release and sm on floor 41 and about 65 citizens. I'd definitely say the bux are less generous than normal yet I've never felt a need to purchase any and still have all but the final elevator upgrade. I was well into it for weeks but gradually got bored and at the same time my items stopped selling while my game was closed! So figured I'd wait for the UK release to see what happens, it's a decent game for free I'd say it has a little more to it than Tiny Tower but ultimately I find myself wondering what I'm building for?
Yeah, no kidding! So they're essentially telling me that my iPod Touch 5G, a modern device that can run X-COM and Deus Ex without a problem, isn't fit to play a simplistic game like this?! Whatever...
What is also really odd is that the in-game fonts look different than the ones of the screenshots. I think that is because my device is not set to English but rather to German, but even the screenshots in our own App Store look like the English ones. What has happened here? They are not even in the realm of 8-bit text. And plus, the new fonts seen in the screenshots should go back to match the fonts of the other Pocket/Tiny apps. This looks like a really bad reskin for Tiny Tower. I must say I feel very disappointed by NimbleBit at the moment, I thought they had an eye for details.
Having not played the original TT, the Star Wars re-skin is what has drawn me too it. Not that I've played it yet. Just installing.
As others have stated, this is simply a reskin of tiny towers. The missions are more simple than the ones that were in TT. A few achievement type things for finding special bitizens. Nothing too new or great though.
Is it just me or is there no iCloud support for playing the same game between devices? Don't other nimblebit games have this?
Having it played some time now I can safely say there is not a bit of NimbleBit (...)in this game besides Disney monetizing their brand. The app itself is badly programmed and a whole lot of bloatware, it takes more time than my MBA needs to boot up OS X, and it even needs more than twice as long for having the Emperor tell me about coins gained while being absent. Also, the fonts are incredibly off, as are the textures/buttons and any artwork. I don't wanna go into details, but in short they are all not in the 8bit art style, especially not in NimbleBit's one. What is also off is the insane in the brain amount of IAPs, which go up until $100. Sure this is Disyney we're talking about, but NimbleBit should know that they put their signature under it, and are thus accepting my loss of faith in them. This is not a remake, it is a cheap reskin which makes the impression of ripping off NimbleBit, the only difference being is NimbleBit being paid. There are other complaints like iCloud and stuff, but you know that from Disney, they don't care.
My oldest son was looking forward to this. Usually with big games dropping support for iPodTouch4 the little games like this still manage to work. Sad that it doesn't work at all and that even if he upgrades to the latest iPodTouch, he's still out of luck. Then again, given all the feedback on this game... maybe it's good his device isn't compatible. Either way, this appears to be just a cash grab by the dev... which isn't about making gamers happy as much as creating the next addicting IAP money printer. Oh well, my anticipation for Nimblebit games is much lower than others here so it's really not a shock to me at all.
i hate nimblebit right now, i've had my trusty old ipod touch for years and im not planning on upgrading it, i dont play much heavy 3d games and 8-bit games are my favorite, so when i heard about tiny death star i was sold immediately, untill i saw it had no ipod support at all, i guess ill just have to continue playing pocket trains then....
