I just replaced a 9 DJ on Rancor Pit with a new 9 DJ and got a Bux for it, so I don't think that's true.
For Anyone having trouble getting into the game try shutting down your device and then going in before you open anything else. With every level that i've added i've noticed the game is more and more unstable, the last release of levels was the breaking point. I can't have any other running apps in memory or it will crash now. It will only open if I shut everything down and then just open only it.
More evidence pointing to "it's a bug": I just swapped out three L8s into Youngling Hall, all brand new - one gotten by elevator placement, another two earned by a Recruiting Officer. The one gotten by elevator gave the reward, as did the first one earned via the Recruiting Officer. The last one gave nothing. It's entirely random, folks. The subcategory that seems to screw me over the most are food levels. Service levels still occasionally give bux. The ones that seem to pay out the most often are retail levels. I still can't say if this is chance or coincidence, though. The one time no level has ever failed to grant the bux reward (regardless of type) is if there's never been a dream job-holder in that slot, which makes me think this 'bug' might very well be an indicator of a new 'feature' to come - just implemented too early and sloppily.
Great, the last update doesent support iPod Touch 5, sigh, I guess I need to wait for an update like when the app first launched
Now it seems every item in cargo bay says " you already got this, here is X bucks", with X being some number. I have a lot that ii have not open or found in album in regards to characters as well as levels. Just started with this last update
I can confirm that other than pure luck, the only time you're guaranteed a bux reward for dream job placement is if you're placing a bitizen into a slot that wasn't previously filled by a DJer, or if you're replacing a less skilled one with a more skilled one. Every other time, it just seems like sheer chance.
Great site, has helped guide me thru updating the death star. One question, just completed the update today but I still don't get any new assignments. Is anyone currently getting assignments? Thanks,
Some people claim to have been, but then others who said that have had their assignments dry up. Pretty sure it's hosed.
I am currently at 135 levels including the Imperial levels with 166 bitizens. I just updated today to the newest rev on my iphone and I haven't seen a new assignment for about 1 week. I was hoping the update today would fix that, but it doesn't appear it did (at least for me).
Some people claim you don't get new assignments when you hit 100 floors. In adition, have you noticed that when you improve a DJ skill level, it says "TODO DESIGN" when you get a bux?
I stopped getting assignments before I cracked triple digits, but before it happened I'd completed about 3-4 in rapid succession because of saved-up items from the Imperial Marches event. Also, I was getting bux for switching out DJs at the Cantina, which is odd since *no* food level had been giving me a reward unless I was improving the existing skill level or filling a slot that had been occupied by a non-DJer. Now that's dried up. Also, mine doesn't say "TODO DESIGN," it actually has a well-worded message that tells me I'm getting a reward for improving the skill total of the level. EDIT: I'm only shy two DJs of having all levels with x3 (most of them with L8s and L9s) - and I still have 62 vacancies. 64 once I'm able to get rid of both fillers on the two levels without x3 DJs. If you ever wanted a reason why DJ bux are screwed up, that's why.
nope u didnt try it again only upgrade gives bux now less or same gives not wich means since most dream job are 9 u need to keep filling less to be ready for 9s
Basically what u do is u lower only 9 After u lower a slot then u inly upgrade until it has a 9 Since most common ones are 9 its not worth to lower an 8 to a 5 since ur not gonna get a bux so its better to lower an other 9 When all slots are lower than 9 then any 9 gives u bux In the off chance u have a situation where u cant do anything lets say 8 8 8 and u get an 8 or 6 8 3 and u get a 5 then u wait until u get a 9 so u can go lower again Basically u can upgrade an x to a y but u never lower an x to a y unless x is already maxed at 9
Not on iOS. I *always* get a Bux when giving out a dream job to a resident on his first dream job assignment. I just made loads of Bux by exchanging dream jobbers on several levels, making level 9s unemployed, then putting in a level 3, 4, 7, 8 worker, getting the Bux, evicting them and then reinstating the previous level 9 worker. mnemo
Man, anyone else getting a request to review the game every other time you play? Wish it would realize I've already reviewed it!
I'm on iOS and this works very, very rarely for me. When I swap out a level 9 dream jobber for any dream jobber (even level 9s), I'd say I get a Bux about once every 12-15 times. I seem to always get them for upgrading, though, and I'm always getting them for the first dream jobber I put on a level.
I'm on IOS also, and I rarely get a bux unless I upgrade a skill level. I just filled all my levels with 9,9,5 and replace the 5 with a 6 or higher. Everyone under 6 I evict immediately. I do get bux for any DJ'er that I fill a level with the first time after it's built.
You only get a bux when you assign a bitizen to his dream job the first time. It's dependent on the bitizen, not on the job slot! mnemo
