so any1 know whats going on with past old 2 events? i finished them in my old iphone 4s and i would like to finish them now on my new iphone 5s any plans or ways to get them?
That's not true at all. I've had plenty of times where I've temporarily replaced a level 9 dream jobber with a lower level dream jobber and gotten a Bux for it.
I've noticed sometimes I don't get paid for dropping a temporary DJer into a slot if I've had to wait too long to do it. It happens sparingly, but when it does it feels like a bug. And it's not skill-related, either. I've dropped some L2s in a spot where an L9 was and it still awarded the bux.
I've found a sure-fire way to keep you from getting bux when you switch out a dream jobber - have something for sale on the level. When the level is closed down, you don't get paid. My guess is - unless it's a bonafide bug - they're trying to keep people from earning bux without actually playing the game the way they want you to. EDIT: Well, evidently this isn't the case, since I just got no bux swapping out a bitizen at an active Dewback Ribs after getting the reward a few minutes earlier through another level. This is a bug and is entirely situational. For all we know it could be an anti-exploit mechanic triggered by getting too much 'bux' too fast. vOv
This is correct. I have no official connection to Disney or the game. I just look through the game files and pull out whatever information I can.
Somewhat annoyed Lost all my progress. Talking a 90+ floor tower gone My iPhone died unexpectantly the other day. Restored backup into new phone but all progress gone Emailed disney to see if they can restore as I did have a screenshot in iCloud of my data id but no idea if they can. Poor that the online backup system isn't linked to game centre or Facebook so it's just gone
New update to V1.4.1 (1.4.3011) on iOS! Probably just a bug fix release. At least it didn't crash right on start... mnemo
New update's up for Android as well. Crossing my fingers that it won't kill my bug-gotten levels. "Minor bug fixes and optimized performance." EDIT: All levels accounted for - still no new Imperial missions, *and* I've stopped getting bux for DJ switch-outs. It'll be interesting to see if this patch fixes either, since I probably wouldn't have gotten a new mission immediately. Hopefully the patch starts the 'countdown' again. EDIT 2: Just got bux again for switching out a temp worker, but it can't be confirmed if it's definitively 'fixed' since sometimes it gave the bux, sometimes it didn't. EDIT 3: Annnnd just had another two temp dream job switch-outs (on levels that already had three DJs on them) that gave no bux, then one that did. Still not fixed, and I'm sure they're not in hurry to fix it and give people free in-game currency, either. EDIT 4: They broke the 'event' sounds again, too. Catching spies again has no audio accompaniment. EDIT 5: It just occurred to me to try putting 'temp' dream-jobbers into their dream job via the "Job" function instead of placing them in via the item window, thinking that might circumvent the bug. Nope - it's still entirely random whether or not it gives you the reward.
Great, a new update that fixes NOTHING... Still can't start up the game, disappointing but unsurprising by now.
Thanks for the clarification. Well, if it fixed something for me I'd never know for the game still crashes on opening. I was soooo hopeful that they'd address a fatal flaw with their game for some/many people which made the game unplayable before more minor issues. No such luck. Oh, well...
Looks like the new update fixed at least one bug - the ability to run the game on an iPod Touch 5. As advertised, I guess. I didn't like the direction the game was going anyway - the further it got from Tiny Tower, the less I was enjoying it.
Also, enough time has now elapsed that if Imperial missions had been fixed, I'd have gotten at least one. So that's not fixed either.
Sure wish we could actually communicate with those that are trying to run this game. But somewhere they're 9-5ing it in cubicles trying to make higher-ups ideas of getting more money work instead of actually listening to what we'd like to see and what we need to make it run properly. If they could just make this run smoothly for everyone so we could all enjoy it without trying to change things so often and create more ways to ineffectively build or collect, I might actually put money into it. But no matter how much pixel yoda makes me smile on start-up, I can't feel good about giving them money. Still really fun to look at while I watch Clone Wars though.
I'm beginning to notice a pattern in regards to getting shafted for the Dream Job award. It seems to refuse to grant the reward the 'older' a level is. I've yet to get denied a reward on a newer level (for instance, Imperial Marches). I'm beginning to think that they've instituted a limit to the amount of times you can cycle in a Dream-Jobber for the free bux, and once you hit that level's limit, you won't get it anymore. ...or it's a cyclical bug and there is no pattern, and you either get it or don't depending on whether the game likes you or not. EDIT: Yep, it's a bug with no rhyme or reason. Just tried to slot in an L8 into Slicer Datapads, a level I've had less than a day now (despite having triple L8 DJs on it), and it refused to give the reward. GG, Disney.
