Well, I for one disagree. I've had two salvage droids disappear on me. # I think if you tap the salvage level at the moment the droid returns it just disappears, unfortunately. That was 50 bux down the drain, and probably the last time I try my luck at that. The pure randomness of trying to get a new level is just not worth it IMHO. It's amazing how they succeeded in screwing up a pretty fun game by implementing these new mechanics. They should just remove the free/freemium tag, because there is no way you can complete the game without spending some serious money now. Too bad, I had fun with it up to two days ago. On to new things now soon I guess..
I think I'm done too. The amount of Bux needed to try and get the new levels is insane; the odds are TERRIBLE. I've spent hundreds of Bux and only gotten the Kashyyk apartment level and 4 unlocked characters (which I don't care anything about). I used the force quit trick so that I'm not losing a lot of Bux but I'm still spending them and getting nothing. It's just not worth the time and effort to try and game the system, and I would never pay the ridiculous amounts required to progress further. Too bad they had to ruin a nice little game. I never paid for Bux so they probably couldn't care less that I'm quitting, but if I'm gone they will definitely never get any money out of me.
2 weeks ago, they "promised" new levels every Monday. I didn't really believe it at the time. Well, today is Monday and guess what, no new levels. It must be more lucrative forcing people to use Bux on some stupid salvage droid. Which may or may not actually bring new levels. I've probably "spent" well over 1000 Bux to get imperial items, or supply officers or 15000 credits... Luckily it wasn't my money to waste because I've been force quitting the game.
I was actually just able to build three new levels - Bith Apts, Dex's Diner, and Bacta Tanks. That's six job openings for five new slots, which means I'm going to have to evict my saved Kashyyyk Shack and Endor Adventure bitizens because I'm not getting either of those levels any time soon. The "Chiss HSP" bitizens I can put into the Bacta Tank level.
I was lucky for a while I downloaded the update and played on airplane mode and every 10 minutes it rescanned and let me send out a droid every 10 minutes but then I made the mistake of going online and it changed it to 24 hours : ( does seem a greedy game. I wish someone would make a tiny tower 2 or something. Lil Kingdom kept me happy for a while or small street. Playing Disco zoo it passes the time but isn't the same.
Isn't that something, no message on loading, and only 1/2 hr before I posted that, I'd checked and nothing... Building now..
A good reason not to spend actual money on Bux: numerous times now (5 or 6) while opening new cargo retrieved from the droids the game has completely crashed, taking my Bux and giving me no reward. Why would I spend actual money on that?!
Find Bitizen..oh, yeah Had a "find bitizen" & checked every store & apt. manually. No luck. Bitizen was a DJer who had no job so no way to find. Cute, no?
In truth, residential levels should never be rewards if they're going to keep adding commercial levels. Having overage provides just as much potential for spent 'bux' as these damned salvage droids.
When you look at Bitizens in the album, there's now a count that shows how many unlocked scenes a character has unlocked and how much he CAN unlock. For example, my locked Darth Vader shows "3 of 5", Yoda "0 of 1".
I haven't managed to unlock anything yet myself. The whole event is kind of ridiculous, to be honest. Especially with it being so limited. Having to resort to spending a lot of money or trickery is just not any fun.
Those I listed aren't part of the event, they just show up in the elevator or as a rebel spy to find.
There's also a 'clapperboard' icon (the thing that gets held in front of a camera before 'action' is said) on some bitizen's character pages. I don't think this means they unlock a scene, I think it's meant to show if the bitizen was shown in any of the movies.
That icon was there before and indicated which characters unlock scenes. Now they added the count to that. mnemo
I've barely touched this game over the last couple days, but I picked it up again trying to get Chiss Hospital or Kashyyk Shack since I have level 9 dream jobbers for them. I've spent several hours trying to unlock levels using the salvage droids (I don't really care about characters, and certainly not at 25 bux a pop). I've unlocked the Kashyyk apartments and that's it. Endor has not once shown up on the scan, so I haven't even had a chance at it. About 4 or 5 times I've gone to open new cargo and as soon as I touch the box to open it the game crashes. Looking back, I think it's possible that I was unlocking levels when that happened and instead of letting me have them it crashed. It makes sense because after spending several hours on the salvage droids it seems ridiculous to have only found one level. Every time this has happened, I've lost my 25 bux and received no reward. Thinking there might be a bug, I deleted the app and downloaded it again. I connected to Facebook to get my online save, and found that 75 bux had vanished. So I've lost well over 200 bux due to crashes in this game. How can they expect me to want to buy them with real money if they are so easily lost like this? That's not even taking into account the ridiculous amount needed at a game of chance with extremely poor odds in order to progress. I would never spend money on this rip-off. I don't even want to play it any more because the salvage droid scam has sucked all of the fun out of it.
