Ok why can't I connect with Facebook??? Keeps saying unable to connect and contacting tech support for Disney is a joke (takes 3 or more weeks before you get a reply!) Thanks!
Pretty lame. I saved up 700 bux for this update and now I'm not sure I want to use them. I used the 25bux salvage droid three times in a row and got nothing for rewards. Two of the times I got 10 extra imperial rewards (like blast or pistol ect.) which I already have hundreds of. The third one was 10,000 credits. At at 20mil that's a drop in the bucket. Seems like they're trying to really get people to buy bux with real money. There is not skill involved anymore it's 100% pure luck.
Sorry for the triple post. I thought I might just have bad luck so I rescanned and the 25bux possible rewards was all the stuff from Endor. Tried three more times and only got imperial rewards. Waste of 180 bux. I would suggest not to spend on the 25bux level. Just wait for the free ones. Edit:I guess I'm just a sucker for it but I rescanned got the wookie planet and did three more 25bux droids. Two VIPs and 15,000 credits. I can't believe I've sunk all this time into a game that just took a massive turn for the worst. You would think that when it says "best" chance for rare you would have a rare after 9 times of trying.
This just game keeps getting worse and worse. I will be patient and see what comes of this event but good lord they are getting absolutely ridiculous with this bux grabs... Next thing you know they're just gonna put a button up "Pay $10 and get all the unlocks now!"
Also, if you're the least bit interested in the new levels, prioritize the planet targets. That would honestly be preferable to this. I've more expendable income than patience.
Well, for being a bug fixing update... - Game still crashes if airplane mode is not set to on - The ingame text is now half italian and half englush. - It's days that i can see a VIP to accelerate floors or fill new apartments levels Guys, they're obviously pushing us towards an expensive buc buying...I'll play it a little more, but It became a completely ruined game for me.
Well, the absurd thing is that even if you buy bux you're still not guaranteed to get anything, you're still at the mercy of the RNG-gods. Bought about 10 salvage droids myself, but got nearly nothing useful. I guess if spending massive bux is the only way to get the new floors I'll be skipping this one.
How do I get to this new salvage droid event? I don't see any buttons or icons that will take me there. I've restarted the game. I had a message telling me about the event, but how do I actually do it? I've looked through the menu items and the store.
I got the message and nothing, then noticed the update in the Google Play store. You have to update it yourself, unlike the last one which was forced on us!
I've been experimenting with the salvage droids. I have my main game on an ipad but facebook synced it to an android tablet and spent all my bux in the android game to see what I get for the money. So, for 500 bux and using the "rare" droid only, I got one wookie residential level and a whole lot of useless coins and imperial items. One of the more fun imperial items was labelled "not in use", so obviously there's a lot of chaos behind the scenes. Also, when syncing to the Android, all my residents lost their levels -- where all my ipad levels had level 9 dream jobbers, the android levels kept the people and their name, but randomized all of their levels. If they don't make the residential levels available for purchase later, there are going to be a TON of disappointed and unhappy fans. If it takes 500 bux just to get one residential level randomly, and there are 3 residential levels up for grabs, then it could take thousands of bux to get all 3 residential levels, plus all the special characters. 2000 bux costs $99.99 dollars. This is certainly a good way to find the whales who are playing this game and tailor the game to them. However, if only 0.15% of all mobile gamers pay for IAPs, this is a great way to ensure that 99.85% of people stop playing your game (Ref: http://venturebeat.com/2014/02/26/only-0-15-of-mobile-gamers-account-for-50-percent-of-all-in-game-revenue-exclusive/)
Compile some Salvage Info/Data? I love TDS, but I'm one of those people that refuses to spend real bucks for imperial bux. To me, I don't understand why you'd play a game just so you could spend money... not to play the game? That's crazy, imo. OK, rant over, but anyways, my bux are all earned the hard way, and each and every one is precious. That's why I'm intrigued with the new salvage mechanic. I got a little splash that said something about 72 hours to find stuff near Kashykk, but after looking at my salvage level all my droids are pointed towards asteroid belts and the debris field. I've had the update for less than 2 hours, so an auto-rescan hasn't happened yet. What happens during a rescan? If it gives you new places to salvage, how many categories have you seen so far? Is it worth the 5 bux to maximize targeted scans in the 72 hour window? I accidentally missed Imperial Marches and the droids, and I'm loathe to let the Kashykk levels slip out of reach as well... If we could start compiling a repository of salvage mission info for strategy, that would be great! You'll probably have to force your phone to update the app, if you haven't received the salvage level yet.
If you hit Rescan for 5 bux, you get another random selection of places to send the salvage droids. The ones I've seen: * Asteroid Field * Kashyyk * Endor * Debris Field * Shipwreck * Csilla All of those can appear anywhere in the three slots (chance for rare / Good chance for rare / Best chance for rare) You can also get all of the same ones in all three slots and have to rescan. The new residential levels only appear as possibilities for the planets. So to get a new residential level, your best shot is to get a planet in the third slot and then to get the residential level show up when you send a 25 bux droid to that planet. I've spent 200 bux to send 8 droids to Csilla and still haven't gotten the Csilla level. This has basically turned the game into a slot machine. I've done the sync thing I described above a few times now to figure out what the odds are — it's certainly well into 500-1000 bux for a random residential level to show up.
Just got Csilla Apts after spending 300 bux on salvage droids. I can't see how to get all 3 residential levels without spending actual money on the game, or spending far too many hours farming for bux. Life's too short for this.
Had an idea — it would be possible to facebook sync a game to another device, then use that device to farm for levels. If, after spending 100 bux, you don't get anything good, then abandon that game and resync from facebook again it in an hour or so. Or I could just acknowledge that this game is a useless timesuck and abandon it altogether.
It's just so disappointing that they turned in into a chance game. If they wanted people's money just make each new level a dollar to skip the randomness. They would probably make a lot more money doing that. I hope they change the odds soon. I'm not spending a single bux until I hear they've changed it. After 200-250 bux and not getting anything other then money and useless imperial items I'm going to side with people saying there is no way of doing this without using real money. And not just a couple dollars (which at this point I would probably pay) you would have to spend hundreds of dollars to get all these levels.
Thanks so much for all the useful info about salvaging! Has anybody yet gotten a residential level by sending a cheaper (free) salvage droid? It's apparent that sending rare droids is not that bux effective, but maybe it's just the number of droids that are sent? Perhaps it's a better investment (bux-wise) to just send the cheaper droids lots of times, vs. the expensive droids - which may only net 'better' coin and inventory rewards on residential misses. It looks like, from my perspective, that you can send about 5 cheap salvage droids per 1 expensive droid. Are we sure that the odds that expensive droids find the residential levels greater than or equal to 5 times as often as cheap droids?
That's what I thought, you get pretty much the same as buying 25 bux droids but the costs goes up every time you but another one.
