Got a message saying I could start building Twilek Apartments but if I go to build any type of levels it gives me the "no levels of this type..." message. Cleared the game from my system's memory & even restarted the phone, but no luck... These guys should really get their act together! This is embarrassing coming from Disney!
Just now my reward was "clothes" and now in my Cargo Bay it has a package with a face of Rebel Pilot. Same, it won't let me start building them either.
I just tried setting the iPhone clock to the future to see if I can build new levels (which I couldn't), but after setting back the clock and entering the game, I got a message that a Bitizen was ejected into space due to an accident. The name of the message box was "Level removed", but after checking, all levels were there. But I lost a dream jobber on a food level. mnemo
I accidentally skipped today's message so thanks for posting it up here. I had the same also I set my clock back to install the gba4ios forgot to change it to normal before opening my game and it ejected a person too but did say level lost. Changed the time to normal and I went from fully stocked shops to no stock in any shop!
Top F2P Monetization Tricks Many here have already noticed, with dismay, the increasing cost or time of various functions (most recently the insanely expensive cost of Imperial Level items). Fascinated by the insidious tricks Freemium games play to separate players from their money, I found this article: http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/RaminShokrizade/20130626/194933/?. Nowhere in the article does it speak of "changing the rules" midstream (i.e. cost of upgrading a floor, finishing stocking, getting a VIP, etc.) though that's another, more "in your face," way of monetizing. Still, I'd say that Disney/LucusArts' TDS is well on its way to employing all the tricks, in a heavy-handed manner, IMO. Worth a read. Be forewarned.
Straaaaange, I just built new levels, but they are additional ones from those listed above: Residential - Twi'lek Apts Holo Movie Rentals - Recreational Life Support - Imperial Shuttle Bay - Imperial The preview images in Menu>Levels are messed up, though. I have 96 levels now.
Is anyone getting Retail or Service levels available to build? I've got DJers for Chiss HSP (Service) and Kashyyk Shack (Retail) but no levels are available to build for those categories. I got 2 Imperial, a Residential, and a Recreation.
Those 6 levels will be part of some kind of event. Each Residential level has another level that matches it. Look at how they match up: Endor Arms - Ewok Adventures Wookie Arms - Kashyyk Shack Csilla Apts - Chiss HSP (Csilla is the Chiss homeworld) I've also looked through some of the game files and there are new character assets that go along with each of these species.
New characters unlock after building the levels! Got Nien Numb (Rebel Heroes), who unlocks a scene. Game data is now V1.4.0.1.
Probably a level that already exists, since there's no new scene listed (yet). I was only able to start building Twilek Apts and Holofilm Rental. Two Imperial levels as well - Life Support and Shuttle Bay. The other levels that popped up are still locked. There are also a TON of new aliens. Just unlocked a Besalisk from the new "Galactic Registry: Series 1" collection. None of them can be bought with bux.
It now says: Data 1.4.0.3 ... They're always turning the knobs... I would reeeeeeally like to take a look at all that configuration data... Has anyone analyzed which URL the app is accessing?
Blegh why does it Cost 2 bux to fill an apartment slot now instead of 1 >_< It was bad enough that you can't bitizen shuffle like Tiny Tower to make bux but now you actually lose money getting new bitizens to staff shops? I foresee a rapid end to my TDS play soon :/
...because they want to make a profit on their game. Seriously - bux aren't too difficult to accumulate. When it was 1-for-1 they stood to make no money. I'm guessing it came down to a decision of 'make it 2 bux' or 'remove the Dream Job reward.' At least with the latter solution, when you get a new bitizen or a Recruiting Officer that gives you five bits for levels you've already filled, that's up to five free bux assuming you've got an open apartment level to use it on.
Except they have already monetized by adding the annoying Ads, It's funny how nimble bit left Tiny Tower alone with 1 to rent 2 for DJ yet this imposter Lucas Arts feels it's necessary to screw the players over... There is already plenty of BS to swindle the player now they're making the task of simply getting more bitizens costly...
