Wow ... how bad are the 'Service to the Empire' rewards!!??

    1st reward = Costum
    2nd reward (250) = Upgrader VIP

I am grinding them just to see what i get
but so far ... worthless along with the imperial assignments new model

Feels like the devs are going: " I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further. "

And we're all "This deal is getting worse all the time"

    Hilarious! Love the quote--perfect!

I too am grinding out the imperial levels (even after my rant about them being a TFWOT). There's got to be the "Imperial Marches" level at the end of it. Plus, if they're only releasing 2 levels a week, at a cost of just over 1 million a piece, I have more money than I'll ever need (currently at 12 million).

Anyone else notice that there are now Panna City Medicine dream job bitizens? The completionist in me can finally breathe easy.

Looks like the 3rd reward is a recruiting officer. I'm about halfway there, and that's what he appears to be.

You gotta be kidding. So we don't get VIPs "normally" anymore? -- Hm, no, I just got a normal recruiter VIP.

And the game just started normally without plane mode. Maybe it was a problem on the server side?

On the other hand, let me say something FOR the update: Before the update, the only thing you could use the generated coins was for buying supply officers and building levels, everything else was bought with bux, which weren't earned so easily (or could be bought for real money).

Now the income actually plays into the plot of the game: Using the money to bring forward the Empire, i.e. building items. The problem is that the Imperial missions just generate coins again, which doesn't make sense. Spending 100,000 coins to get 50,000 is stupid, of course. With a lot of levels, money is earned easily, though. Special missions like the current one can make up for that, by unlocking special characters or levels.

It's a matter of balancing the gameplay and that's where the game fails right now. There's just one hitch: Disney created this game to MAKE (real) MONEY. So there needs to be an appeal or need to spend it. They aren't making games for freeloaders (like me :D).

    On new imperial missions

    First time poster here...

So I've been playing TDS and I'm trying the new Imperial Missions, since I've got plenty of money and I've built all the levels available.

I've gotten past the 100, 250, and 500 medals thresholds. I don't recall exactly what the "rewards" were but I think one was an Upgrader and one was a Recruiting Officer, both of which are totally lame "rewards".

Now I'm about halfway towards the 975 medal-threshold, which looks like it's Imperial Bux. I'll let you know how many but my expectations are low.

The next reward looks like it's R2D2 from the silhouette. That would be moderately cool I suppose.

    7 days left!

(Oh, and the new levels that the opening message mentioned when I started the game this morning? No new levels available to build, when you click on the "add level" button at the top. WEAK SAUCE.)

Finally opened an Imperial Assignment that pays Bux

Just opened up an Imperial Assignment from Darth Vader, for 29 Battle Droids and 30 Imperial Edicts. Payoff is 20 Imperial Bux (rather than just coins).

    Working on it now!

Yellow for me too. Why did you think they were supposed to be blue?

What's the bug you're talking abt regarding the Jedi training cave? Did you mean the Dark Side Cave? I haven't noticed a bug there.

Strange, I had just under 2 million credits saved up, and was able to add two more levels (both residential) straight away!

Still 20 hours until I know what they are...

Level 85 will cost 1,008,600. Strangely I can click the 'All Level' button on top without having enough credits and it asks what sort of level I would like to build. Until the update, if I didn't have credits it would tell me that & ask me if I wanted to go to the store to get more!

The game has definitely got a LOT more buggy for me now. Every time I try and farm for bux (using a DJ) the game re-starts :(

When I have to find one of the Imperial Spies (Luke, Han, Chewie, Lando) and I choose the right level - again, the game just restarts.

Good call on the Imperial Credits reward for the 975 Service Medals. I thought it would be a free / new level! :(

The next reward definitely looks like R2-D2 or one of those droids from the Limited Edition set though.

What the heck does "Each Service Medal earned increases progress towards earning rewards." even mean?! And where the heck did the VIP mechanic guys go?? Do I have to pay for Imperial level things now?!

So, do some stuff to get this thing that will help you do other stuff to get more other things... which will probably just help you do other stuff that won't add up to enough of anything. Especially, fun.

This update has just made this simple building sim much more complicated and much less appealing.

Have any of you Android users out there updated to the new TDS version? I am scared to do so, as I am maxxed out on levels with 13million in the bank. I don't want to lose everything in case there are issues!

If you are an Android user who updated to the recent patch, please share. Thanks in advance!

    Service to Empire Rewards

The 4th "reward" is imperial bucks? DANG! Figured it was the imperial marches level. Guess we'll have to wait for the 6th reward at least (as the 5th reward does seem to be a droid of some sort).

At first glance I thought the "service to empire" rewards were super expensive, but after some quick calculating, they aren't too bad. If you stick with the cheapest medal earner, the recon droid at 2 medals for 145 ic, or 72.5 ic per medal, the 975 medals needed for the 4th reward would only cost 70,688 imperial coins. Of course, just using one imperial level to earn medals would take forever, and the other levels are not as cheap, but still, not as expensive as I first thought.

I too received a message that two new levels were available this morning (a food and a res level), but can not build them. Very interesting.

I saw a notice this morning about new levels - some kind of sandwich shop and what looked like additional residential levels (besides the 2 from the most recent update?). But even after closing and restarting the app I don't have any new levels available to build. Anyone able to build these new levels?

    New residential levels are identical?

Are these two levels identical? I've just got mine finished and they look exactly the same :/

When you look at the images in the "info" button in Imperial Assignments, the holograms are blue.
So I don't know if they are supposed to be blue or yellow. :p (I assumed the images in the tutorial were right).

Sorry, I meant Jedi High Jump (I'm translating here, as the game is localized and I don't know the actual names in English).
The icons for that floor have a wrong positioning (or the sprite was badly assembled or not planned accordingly) and the icons overlap (you see parts of the other icons). I mean those blue arrows.

Yeah, I thought from the 'shape' of it that it was the Marches level, but nope - just Bux.

Fourth Imperial Missions rewards was Bux

I am pretty sure it was 20 Imperial Bux but I'm not 100% sure.

Now I am after the fifth reward which is 1200 medals for a droid (I assume R2-Q5 from the album). The following, sixth reward looks to be a level...

So should I get the update or finish my Death Star first? Got about 50 levels done.
