    OMG!
Well... it's really to manually backup before every patch! NO WAY!

I got a reply from them:

    Greetings Imperial troopers!

We are truly sorry for the issues you are currently encountering with Tiny Death Star. Our development team is working around the clock to rectify these issues and hope to have a fully functional Battle Station for you shortly.

If you are experiencing loss of game progress or decorations with your app, please follow the steps provided below:

    1. Make sure you have the latest version of Tiny Death Star installed on your device.

    2. Quit the app, free up some space on your device and restart the app. Saved game files may be removed by the OS when the device gets low on space, particularly when the app is being updated. Your saved game is likely to be on our server.

If the issue remains unresolved after updating the App and following the steps above, please reply back with the following information for further assistance.

    • Player ID (MENU, wrench button at top of screen, Help button, the long number at the top of the screen beneath the version number)
    • App version
    • Device make & model
    • Available space on your device.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.

    Regards,
    Disney Interactive Guest Experience Team

    I'll see of anything works.

Thank you for the update :)
May the "long number" keep us away from other problems...

YEAH, RIGHT! As if the OS would ever just remove data from a device!

But: I'll keep a screenshot of the "player id", just in case. Maybe it changes due to some bug and then the game cannot find the corresponding save data online!?

It actually does. Try installing an app when you have very little free space on your device, and you'll notice some apps look like they're updating and it says underneath them that it's "cleaning". It's basically removing temp files from that app to make room for whatever new app you're installing. Of course, if the save file is in those temp files, that's just poor programming. ;)

That's what I meant. Of course the OS may remove "temp" files, but NEVER user data.

BTW, I got a replacement iPhone 5 today and just completed the iCloud restore. When starting Tiny Death Star I was a bit nervous, but everything is back. Phew!

Interesting! My "player id" has changed with the new device. Also, previously it said "Data: 1.2.0.2" and now it says "Data: 1.2.2.0". Also, in-game music was set to "on", while it was "off" on my previous phone.

Can you get Yoda and Vader through the elevator, or do you need to purchase them through the store or album? Thanks.

I also now have 2 of the new levels from decorating. I had one and then the decorating got reset before the recent game update. I just got another one so I have 83 levels. Hope I can delete one a some point.

No, no, I didn't lose it before. I only got a replacement iPhone due to other problems, made an iCloud backup on the old device before and restored that to the new iPhone. Game progress was there there.

This is just a heads-up to others who might fear that they would lose their game when changing phones.

This is getting ridiculous... After the iPhone restore I just noticed that my previously decorated levels are still decorated, but not with the christmas lights. A newly decorated level has the christmas lights... m(

I am missing the second and third achievements on Game Center - build an imperial level and get a rebel hero.

I have now added all imperial levels and captured all of the rebel heroes. These 2 achievements still show not completed.

There were some achievement/Game Center issues when the game was released. Tis may be why they are shown undone. Is there any way to get these 2 items changed to completed?

After my iPhone restore all the previously completed achievements popped up in the game when I reached their goals AGAIN. But a restore is probably not a wise thing to do just for this. ;-)

I'm only missing the 1.000.000 credits achievement now.

Yeah, I had these "flag" decorations show up as well... maybe decorations for another event coming up? Anyways, they went away after a restart...

People might already know, but Vader's missions usually yield more money than it costs to manually call in Supply Officers to get the materials. There was one I just completed that required a total of 20 materials (costing 20,000 coins if I manually summon the Officers), and the reward was over 70,000.

It's great for when you're tired of waiting for the VIP to show up.

Is there a list of which characters to send to which floors to unlock the scenes?

No More Imperial Level - Crash On Skip

Got to the point where Vader stops offering Imperial Missions and instead it says "Build another Imperial Level" but I can't I already have the 16 levels. So I worked hard on gathering the 100 bux it asks to skip this obstacle but now every time I click to skip and I pay the 100 bux the application crashes. I reload it and my bux are back but I just can't skip this "mission" even though I am offered the option to do so. Kinda frustrating. I will contact support I guess.

Oh and codeman73 check this page: http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/142297/which-characters-unlock-each-scene

Yeah, the depth of your pockets.

Gotta love how the upgrade cost goes up with every level.
