nope i can confirm that this doesnt work as i tried many times with multiple and different backups what happened in ur case was u just go lucky and the game did not reset during restore hence u thought u backup it but u didnt the game has some internal way to backup up itself that i cant find out tried today to backup 2 times with gamecenter and icloud disabled 1st time everything was fine but then again that didnt assure me that the game was actually restored in the first place so i restored an old backup and of course the game went back to a 3floor status ok thats fine so i restored the other backup again from today and nothing happened still 3 floors then i tried restoring the directory with ifunbox 2 times and tried restarting the phone etc still nothing still 3 floors so my next try will be to completely disable even wifi so it doesnt sync with any online disney server and then backup and try restoring etc and if this doesnt work i promess i wont touch this shitty game again until it gives me a simple verified way to back this #### up
Whether they think it's legit or not, I'm a bit curious to know if the people with these crazy progress loss issues are running the latest iOS, jailbreaking, messing with their clocks, fiddling with data in iExplorer, etc. I say that because not only can I not keep track of who's who (or just repeatedly posting the same thing), but because I haven't had the problems on my device at all. Of course, I get the occasional crash, but nothing like what I'm seeing here. And for those who keep playing after a huge data loss... why do you keep playing?
so apparrently even after disabling internet and restoring to an old 2 month save the game was still the same like today then even after reset all settings the game remain the same as in today then even after reset then restore to today backup still the same so apparently the game does not save online anywhere it simply saves to an area that is not affected by the itunes backup/restore function the only way to interact with game data outside of reset function is to reset and wipe out completely ur iphone it seems thats the only way to erase save to sum up there is NONE way to BACKUP or RESTORE the ####ing thing unless u have a jailbroken phone and manage to find its files itunes/gamecenter/icloud/library files have ZERO effect so until a jailbreak for io7 comes our or lucas fix his shit i am not bothering with this shit again u cant jailbreak ios7 messing with clocks is irrelevant with saves of the game (or isnt????) fiddling with data has no effect apparently u can keep track of who is who by checking their username in the forums dont worry when u reach 70 floors game will be so ####ing huge that eventually will fail due to bad programming and reset automatically u right about that i ll just stop bothering with this shit
I can notice that after decoration loss, the black robot became pretty rare. Before the reset it was really boring, it was popping out in huge quantity, but after reset I had to pay 1 Bux for the first one and received after some hours just 1 more.
I think maybe the decoration loss is not a bug... maybe a feature If not, I don't explain the wipe scene. EDIT: It appened again... a new crash, and on the next run I had Vader and Palpatin wiping the landing roof and all my decoration were gone... :S
Not on my iPhone - after quitting the app for real and restarting it ran really well for hours. mnemo
Now it hit me, too. I always have my iPhone in airplane mode over night and when I started the game this morning, I didn't go online and got the animation of the Emperor and Vader wiping the decorations. After that, even the decoration droid button wasn't there. I guess the game checks on start if the holiday special is still valid and because the programmers are idiots and didn't expect airplane mode, the game just assumed the special is over and disabled the decorations. I fully quit the app, restarted it and the decoration droid button was back, all level decorations were still gone. The first deco droid is free and I haven't had a single droid come up after that yet! Duh! Edit: Now I got ONE deco droid. Yay. mnemo
What is the reward for getting the first ten levels decorated? It lists "20 Levels". I know that I didn't get 20 levels. Was it 20 more levels decorated?
10 levels gets you money, right? 20 gets you the holiday Fett. 35 gets you the Panna City Medicines floor.

I purchased a gray imperial officer from the store that is not in the album. It was 1 imperial buck to unlock and he made one appearance but hasn't shown up since. Anyone know the difference between buying from the album and buying from the store? I also purchased a BITH from the store and he only made one appearance and I haven't seen him since. Purchasing the BITH didn't unlock the species either. # Kinda off topic, I have also spotted a swamp imperial scout walking around that is not in the album.
Hm, I've been curious about what happens when you buy a bitizen from the Store. Do they arrive on the elevator with a ? over their heads? Will they move in if you take them to a Residential level? If it doesn't even unlock their species/character for further use, that seems pretty weak. Weird that the Imperial Officer (Gray Uniform) isn't just a regular special costume. Also weird that there are Swamp Imperial Scouts on some Imperial levels (Extending Bridge and Imperial Meeting, at least). I wish those were available as costumes, too. And I'll third the opinion that, after losing all of my decorations, the Decorator Droids have been showing up MUCH less frequently. That is a stupid way for them to reset the frequency of Decorator Droids, if that's what happened (Seems like it!).
Haha, ok, just lost the decorations again, and this time I got the Emperor and Vader clip upon restart that everyone's mentioned. No longer any Decorator Droid button on the side, or decorated entry level. Cleared my iPhone's cache (Or whatever it's called when you double-click the home button, then swipe up on an app to clear the memory), started the game again, and the Decorator Droid button was back, to greet me with the message that I'd never seen a Decorator Droid before in my life and I should summon one. Lost the decorations to 9 levels this time (Since the DDs have been coming MUCH less frequently since the first time my decorations reset). I'm relieved I haven't spend any Bux trying to unlock the holiday special rewards! But I have no idea how I'll ever actually unlock the last reward -- the game still says I have holiday Boba Fett unlocked, and he still shows up occasionally. And I guess it should be noted that I've never tried messing around with the game data, or clock settings, or copying/restoring or anything like that, nor have I ever played while on airplane mode. I just play the game until it crashes, then start the game up again. Usually I'm connected to a wifi network.
Yeah, me too, this morning. Again in airplane mode. I'm too sleepy to think of this that early. Only had three decorated levels so far (previously I had 24 or so). mnemo
At least you have your second reward... I have 4 reset in total... now I'm three decoration far from my second reward... fingers crossed!
At least u guys have enough floors to get the reward, I just started this game a few days ago and haven't even reached 20 floors. Had to discard so many decorator VIPs.
WOW! I did it! Second reward earned! Now I have to start do discard bot as you, I still need 16 more roof to build! I'm pretty sure before that time I will have more decoration resets...
