Confirmed. It took 30 additional bitizens moving in before the mission cleared. Took a few days to get through that one!
Glad that worked for you. That was my first post on this forum and I'm happy I'm off to a good start. It seems to me that the payouts for Vader/Imperial missions scale to some degree and so it's worth continuing to work them even after the first few levels (unlike Emperor missions? Can someone who is past the "30 bitizens" mission let us know how much the next few missions pay out?) Re: elevators, I'm on the third elevator (75 bux), and I'm happy with how quickly it moves through my ~20 upper floors, though it does suck how imprecise it is for the lower Imperial floors. So far the elevator progression seems reasonable; next elevator is 125 bux, which seems about equal to 5 or so days of playing on my current play schedule.
I'm sure this has already been answered somewhere in the thread, but are you able to make the "special" characters, such as Yoda, Darth Vader and Luke, move into one of your residential floors?
I see a few people replied saying this worked. Well, it did not work for me. I've even sat down and counted moving in and evicting 30+ bitizens. By now I've had probably well over double the 30 I need and no quest completion.
Given that it's more or less been proven that all save data is stored phone-side (allowing people to cross devices), like most things, making periodic backups should keep you from losing too much progress. Also, for any who are wondering - the Bounty Hunter level is ~amazing~. After an exceptional run of good luck with Upgrader VIPs, mine is now Rank 21 and pumping out 45,000 three-credit items every nine hours. ...and I have three Big Spenders in my lobby. If anyone responsible for game changes is reading this - the game seriously needs a "lobby" button somewhere on the interface. I know it happens by default whenever a new avatar enters the elevator, but sometimes you want to 'beat' the elevator back to the lobby, and it seems like adding a button to do that would be more efficient than swiping like a mad man.
I bought the third elevator (125 bux) and really like it. It feels like the right speed to me. I got 30 floors, but it will be ok for a while even for finishing the game imho. No need to use the Bux for the last 499Bux elevator, so I'm upgrading the shops. Bux are easier to get now with more floors using the dream job farming technique. I guess in the end you'll get as many Bux as you want just by having all the residences and 2/3 of the shops, evicting like a madman. I like the upgrade system way better than TT. You get 10% more production for each upgrade, but it looks like the production time doesn't change. I focus on the higher production floors, buying the first 2 or 3 upgrades with Bux and using the VIPs after that. Also like the VIPs btw, there's plenty of them and they're each useful. The 1 minute timer gain for each elevator job is also neat. Missions feel pretty useless though, even if I got 50k coins for a few ones after skipping the "build communications" missions. Just getting coins for them is uneventful, there could be better rewards, VIPs, Bux, and more randomness in the reward. I also like how you got 2 cutscenes for some characters (the escaping one and the getting caught by troopers)
I'm one floor shy of 50 total floors and the third elevator is still plenty fast. Also, in regards to those cutscenes...when the character is caught, you get one buck. When they escape, you get two.
My iPad Air got delivered today and after a lot of backing up, restoring, syncing etc. from my 3rd Gen everything seems to be working fine now ... ... everything but Tiny Deathstar that is! I had to start right from the beginning, tutorial and everything, even though I had made some progress on my 3rd Gen and even the GC-Achievments are being correctly showed on the Air. How do I transfer my tower and all to the new iPad? As far as I can remember, the original Tiny Tower just could be played on if you changed devices?
Is anyone have a problem where their money is not being collected while the app isn't running on ios7? When i start the game back up, it's the same amount i have when i closed it.
When you go to build a level, then choose build specific level, it's telling me it costs only 1 bux (along with the money) to build a specific level of your choice. But when I actually went through with it, the game actually took ~40 bux from me. Thankfully I was able to quickly reset my phone and that purchase didn't save. Anyone know if this is a bug with the display (its not actually 1 bux) or is the game taking a bugged amount when its suppose to take 1?
If you go to the album you can see how much it costs to unlock specific floors. All of them are way more than a buck (or bux or whatever the singular of bux is). How did you get the option to build a specific level without unlocking from the album first? Usually you only have the option to select one of the 6 floor types. FYI: I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but you can see which floor you are building before it's complete by checking the album. It will be unlocked as soon as you select a type and start building.
Go to add level, then there's a big button on the bottom that says "Choose specific level". Click that and you will get a list of all the levels you dont have, and it says "Unlock for 1 bux?" on each. If you click one, it tells you the cost will be the usual amount of money and 1 bux. Of course if you click yes it takes off way more than 1 bux, at least for me.
I've been having issues with getting scenes. I wrote down all the ones people listed so far, but I can't get some of them to work. I got a few (?) gungans so far, not sure if any were Jar Jar, but I keep taking them to both Mos Espa and Watto's Wares and I'm not getting any scenes. Also I got a (?) ewok and took him to Imperial museum... nothing again.
The Gungan has to be Jar Jar. He will have a "?" When he appears instead of a level number initially. The same goes for the Ewok, it has to be Wicket, not just any Ewok. Edit: Not sure why it wouldn't work if he had a ?. Maybe there are multiple Ewok scenes? I haven't gotten that one yet myself but just built the museum yesterday and haven't gotten a Wicket who wanted to go there yet. I'm just assuming reports are correct. As for the level choosing, ill have to check that out. I somehow managed to never notice that.
Are they requesting the scene's floor? If so, the scenes will unlock. For Imperial floors, they can be dropped off without their request.
Agreed. However, I did deliver a non [?] Gungan, looking exactly like a [?] Gungan, and the scene showed.
Yes they were all ? characters. How often do you get random ? characters that are not special and dont trigger scenes? I got like 5 gungans so far with question mark, I guess none of them were Jar Jar? I thought you can send ? characters to their scene floor to trigger it regardless of what floor they are asking for. Otherwise isn't it just entirely up to the game if you get scene unlocks or not? You have zero control over it besides the lower levels?
