Love the 'digital plant' analogy, that's exactly how this 'game' works. And even if you don't pay to advance in the classic manner, you can pay to speed up your growth. Or to stay within the theme, you can pay for extra digital sunshine and extra digital water to help speed up the growth of your digital plant.
This is a slow, restocking and repetitive game which suits me perfectly. I can't play for 3 minutes continuously without my 3-year old requesting something or my just-born baby crying for his bottle, a nappy change or similar. Since I can't concentrate too much on anything, this one suits me perfectly
Even though Tiny Tower seems to be better in terms of bux, I can't stop playing this one. I love the theme, the graphics, the sounds, everything. I LOVE Pocket Planes/Trains, but they were too needy. Maybe I'll give a chance later... (I compulsively check the stuff and can't focus in anything else)
Hmm...I haven't had any luck. I've toggled it on/off, force closed, plugged in headphones, restarted phone, etc.
I have a Death Star of about 25 levels now, and I'm enjoying the game quite a bit. I really like the whole Star Wars theme. Granted, bux are hard(er) to come by but imho they were giving them away too freely in Tiny Tower. Prices of packs are almost absurdly expensive btw. Anyone else notice you get 1 bux for capturing a rebel, but you seem to get 2 bux when they get away?
I dont know guys but does anyone else wonder why am I playing this? I am like 13 levels in and am constantly fighting timers, bux management or lack of bux I should say. Its starting to wear on me, I mean its pretty cool to stock up every now and then and come back later. I guess thats all this is though huh?
Yes, a very unusual coincidence. Happened twice in a row (that's why I thought that was it's purpose). I have no idea what's their purpose, really.
? People, if taken to the right floor (and they have to request it or it has to be an imperial floor) are ones who can trigger a cutscene. Though they will have the question mark even if they are asking for a different floor or if you don't even have the floor their cutscene takes place on.
I have built 4 imperial floors and still don't see their strategic point, aside from another slightly different gameplay gimmick and maybe cutscenes. There are very few missions for them, that only give a small amount of coins. I'm now stuck to "build communications level". As the new levels might be random, I think I'll better give up on them for now and focus on residential and commercial floors. Build up income and Bux farm dream jobbers first, get the imperial floors later seems logical I guess? Any higher level player could maybe use spoiler tags to tell us if there's an endgame bonus or sthg with the imperial floors?
I agree, I wouldn't have mind buying a bit of IAP for the sake of it, but the prices are egregious right now imho. For 5$ you can't even buy the second elevator in the store lol. The game does feel totally playable without paying though, not as generous as Tiny Tower, but still very ok. I have unlocked the 75 bux elevator pretty easily, and there are plenty of VIPs. Just bux farm dream jobbers by having more residentials than needed, and you'll get easy Bux. It's a weird freemium balance between a more than ok in game Bux winning rate and astronomical prices of Bux IAP. I don't care about it though, just intrigued by it. That being said, I really like Tiny Death star and hopes it will do well (it looks like it will!)
Alright, just reached the Move in 30 Bitizens mission. I built a 6th residential and farmed Dream Jobs for a bit. Finally decided to finish the mission. Moved in my 30th Bitizen aaaand nothing. Bug? Or... is it something else? (I'm thinking maybe they don't mean 30 total but 30 from the time I accepted the mission? Maybe?) Thoughts? Anyone else had this happen and able to fix it?
Yeah, it's Tiny Tower déjà vu, but worse for the lack of originality. I played for an hour or so when I first downloaded it, deleted it, then came back to it because I had a Star Wars craving. But there's no game to be found here, just a grind.
I just started building my final floor (has a total of 81 floors). Being in Oz I had a head start obviously I think the biggest difference to Tiny Tower is that the floor upgrades don't increase the stocking time. I couldn't see the point of upgrading in TT. Now in TDS I use all my upgrade VIPs on a single floor (karaoke), only ever stock the 3 pointer and wait for a big spender. It's currently at 110 upgrade level and I get around 285k coins each time. After getting the fastest elevator I spent all my bux summoning VIPs fishing for Big Spenders. Pretty sure this is the fastest way to level.
Yep I think they are random after the 4th. I didn't get my communications level until 12/16. At that point I had around 40 of each imperial item built and I did all the imperial quests at once. The quests finially run out. That was a bit of a let down. You don't get much coin for each quest - about 25k max for each (most much less) which is not much at that point in the game.
Isn't Tiny Tower just a grind too, by this definition? I'm asking out of curiosity since I barely played TT but have been playing this one.
Interesting though I've delivered quite a few ? People who have swapped to a number who haven't triggered a cut scene.
That's what I'm saying. ? People are just people who can trigger cutscenes. The chances that they'll actually ask to go to the floor where their scene takes place is very low, let alone the chance that you even have that floor in your star yet. Regardless they always show the ?
