I loved Jade Empire on the original Xbox. Would love to play as another character and see a different ending if it ever came out on iPad. Also this game dropped to $5 on the Mac OSX AppStore.
Yes, they only have voice for the parts from the original version. Anything in the tutorial related specifically to the iPad version, like touch screen use, is text only.
Why, yes I am. Prince of Darkness, Ruler of the Underworld, Lord of Hell. Take your pick. Sometimes known as Satan, Lucifer or Beelzebub...but my friends call me Toby.
I talked about this earlier, and while I would like to see more Bioware games, I can't see Jade Empire working nearly well enough. It, like Mass Effect, are a bit too reliant on active characters and active controls. It's been about 6 years since I last played it, but I remember it having some good challenge that gave my hands quite the workout. Though having Nathan Fillion on my device would be something I could totally, totally, TOTALLY get into. I have a complete mancrush on him, and he's the only guy I would let my wife have an affair with. Of course the condition would be that he'd be my friend and play games with me. Wow that went somewhere. Anyway, honestly I would sacrifice a kitten and my soul to a demon to have NWN on my idevice
I know, right? I'm in that same spot. I actually considered buying it now that it's cheaper in case it end up being iPhone-compatible down the line, but I settled on holding off: if that does happen, this game is certainly worth paying full price for.
Same here, except for the wife bit. Guess we'll just have to make do with Captain Hammer for now. And you know what the hammer is...
It's 2.3GB installed and 1.9GB to download, so to install directly on your iPad from the AppStore would require around 4.2GB.
Really really want to enjoy this game and have played about an hour so far. But Touch Screen + KOTOR don't seem to mesh well. Great game nevertheless and will install this for my laptop but I'm having a bit of buyers remorse. Glad I got it at the discounted price. Nevertheless, the depth of KOTOR makes this a winner. I do hope we'll still see some optimizations for the touch screen controls but I'm not holding my breath.
Bought and installed last night, I had to free about 5GB before it would let me install. It took me two days to decide whether or not to get it but so far I'm glad I did. I really hope Aspyr doesn't drop the price any time soon though.
It is easily worth the money if you are an RPG fan and want to own a piece of gaming history for next to nothing.
