No its not a clone of HERO CLASH EA games have taken HERO CLASH and given it a STAR WARS theme to it. So if fan of HERO and of STAR WARS then you will like this, otherwise others may give this game a skip. What i have noticed how a lot of "HEROS" in star wars are missing so that makes me wonder if they are going to be IAP later on down the line or maybe quest rewards. touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #3 touchy85, Oct 12, 2015 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel It really reminds me a lot of star wars assault team novichok2008 Member Jan 27, 2015 20 0 0 #4 novichok2008, Oct 12, 2015 It's not Soft Launch https://itunes.apple.com/ru/app/star-wars-galaxy-of-heroes/id921022358?mt=8 andysmash Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 2,067 1 0 #5 andysmash, Oct 12, 2015 Can't get anything to load. I was actually saying to myself wow I think I'm going to like this game. This game looks like fun. I can see where I'll buy some cards and do some level ups. And then In the damn video I saw that the one battle used 6 energy and at the end you had 54 of 60 energy remaining. Damn. I won't play it with energy timers unless there's a way to pay to get rid of it. Billy sivad Well-Known Member Mar 28, 2013 641 1 16 #10 sivad, Oct 12, 2015 EA will not ever add in an option to remove timers... All their games going forward will have them I imagine. They are currently in the top 25 grossing apps with 3 games all with timers... Afraid we are in the minority on any of those hopes Based Xatu Well-Known Member Aug 27, 2013 1,937 0 0 #11 Based Xatu, Oct 13, 2015 Why is this games presentation so poor? It looks like a low budget indie game. andysmash Well-Known Member Apr 6, 2011 2,067 1 0 #12 andysmash, Oct 13, 2015 This game's inability to load on my iPhone has led me to discover that I have the dreaded GameCenter bug on my phone. Argh! That's why Alphabear stopped working for me as well. Hope they get it cleared up before this game comes out global, as it really does look like a lot of fun. Piscinarii Well-Known Member Mar 20, 2010 97 0 6 #13 Piscinarii, Oct 13, 2015 I have been playing it a little bit and it's very much like Heroes & Titans, Dragon Soul, etc. The game doesn't feel very finished yet and I guess that's why it's in soft launch. There is no raiding option yet for farming gear for your characters and no fast forward options either so combat seems long. There are a TON of characters since the game breaks them up by Light/Dark side. You have to use Light/Dark side character teams only for story mode but can combine them for PvP, Challenges, etc. No social media functionality to tie your account too either. I love the scenes and you can tell they pulled lore from several different sources to make the game. It's definitely something to keep an eye on if you are a Star Wars fan. I haven't had an issue yet with energy timers, so far they are pretty rewarding as you level and complete daily quests, achievements, etc. Obviously games like this you can burn up energy quickly later on when you can use the quick raid option, etc. We will see how the game unfolds! sivad Well-Known Member Mar 28, 2013 641 1 16 #14 sivad, Oct 13, 2015 Can someone give me a working link so I can click to create an AU account please kyoukusanagi Well-Known Member Aug 10, 2010 191 0 16 #15 kyoukusanagi, Oct 13, 2015 sigh, another one of those always-online games is it? Games that play themselves aren't real games. Anything balanced to allow you to put the phone down and have no manual input at all means there's no real player skill involved in completing levels. Hopefully they'll remove the auto-win button and rebalance before launch. hellscaretaker Well-Known Member May 27, 2012 1,098 6 38 Im a youtube gamer/streamer https://www.youtube.com/user/touchgameplay #20 hellscaretaker, Oct 13, 2015 Well I was like you to be honest i did wonder what was the point of auto play button it only seems like a few months ago since this started appearing in western games. Yet of late im all full auto play button if its done right. Take Soda Dungeon that comes with auto play button and im glad it does otherwise the game would become uncomfortable playing it with the tapping on the screen, yes you know at some point your heros are not going to make it but watching them battling comes rather addictioning. You commented about the button in star wars is auto-win button if you played it for a length of time as i have you will know that that button is far from auto win at all. Infact if you use that auto button one early challenge you will loose regardless unless i guess you have a super strong time, which i doubt you will have that early in the game. The AI is by no means perfect with it using the healing ability right at the start of the fight when in reality its not needed so dont think just cause the button is there means you wil auto win as you wont. Lets put a different spin on the auto play, how about it makes games more accessible for more people, how about people that maybe cant keep tapping on the way on the screen due to medical condition? How about football manager games? They are auto play, you dont really control the players. You still have to pick the team, set up the formation in the hope they win that match. As i said just cause auto button is there does not mean its auto win, its the opposite and while it first i didnt think this was a good idea when its done right to assist the player to enjoy the game then im all for it.
