You swipe to look around. Tap the screen to pick up items or target enemies: you can cue up 4 combat commands (shoot, power shot, force push etc).

I use the move option where you motion in the direction you wnat to move and keep you finger on the screen: when I release my finger the character stops moving.

Those three red ovals? Use them to cycle through combat moves, stims, grenades etc.

    Does that help?

I've recently begun to delve into the Mass Effect series and realized how great BioWare games are... I'm not one for high fantasy so rather then get Dragon Age Origins in looking at this.

Can anyone tell me how well this runs on a 5S? And how's the battery drain and heat up?

Runs perfectly on my 5S. No judders or framerate problems. No noticeable heating up or excessive battery drain. I know what you mean by that because San Andreas overheats my phone a lot. I am over 20 hours in and thoroughly gripped by the game.

Yeah Epoch. 2 seems to have some of the worst heat up I've ever encountered. And thanks, I'm definitely gonna pick this up soon (after I finish my console games, otherwise neither this not them will ever be finished)

If you have any interest in epic, vast RPGs whatsoever, this is one of the best buys on the platform. However, I will say this: sci-fi doesn't get much more high fantasy than this ;)

It runs absolutely flawlessly on my 5S, without any restarts or flushed memory, with very short loading times. Based on memory and casual impressions more than any conscious empirical tests, I'd say that heat buildup is much like most other graphically medium-intensive games, and that battery drain is normative.

I love going on the App Store and reading some of the negative reviews for this game. People complaining that it doesn't run on iPod 4. Of course it doesn't run on that dinosaur if a 4s iPad 2/mini are the minimum requirements. People need to read the required device section before they hit the buy button.

Haha I'm quite aware, but lightsabers make all the difference (; I might check out Inquisition later this year though, the first 2 DAs don't really appeal to me.

I'm 30 hours in on this now. First time playing KOTOR. Playing on an iphone 5 only. Find I have some eye strain, but I just can't put it down. Consumes so much of my time for gaming that now I have a backlog of other games I haven't been able to get to. The auto pause makes it all manageable in the event a button is too small. Just amazing... Wish something else of this magnitude was on the platform.

I'm jealous that u get to experience it fresh, I played both on xbox. Setting up the parties with the mix of Jedi and blasters, building ur own sabers, finding new color crystals, going down ur chosen light/dark path, it's all awesome. This game is a real treat and the story is epic. I hope they give us the sequel cuz it's arguably just as good and more great gameplay.

True, played both on PC. And I think that's probably why I am about 16 hours in and am getting close the finish, well close to the last area can't actually remember how long that takes!

I also hope we get Kotor2 I remember enjoying that one as well, and am really up for playing it again.

One thing I have found is that I am enjoying it a lot more on the iPad than on the PC. Not sure what it is, just find it has transferred to touch screen really well. I am playing Male/Light this time but will probably do Female/Dark next! I just wish I could skip past Taris as I find that stage the worst part of the game

I played it for the first time on my new iPad in November, and it's the best game I've ever played. I can't believe I hadn't tried it before....I am crossing my fingers for the sequel, as I'm limited to iOS and PC, and it's a lot easier for me to get large chunks of iPad time than PC time. I played Lego Star Wars on my PC very happily, but my teenage daughters couldn't stop laughing at their mom. I guess I'm not exactly the target demographic for the genre. Hopefully my 4 year old son will grow to appreciate a mother who thinks we should spend time and money on games (as long as they're good). #

Did the update do anything for iPhone 5 shadows or lighting?

KOTOR 2 was so slow/sluggish on the Xbox that at parts of the game the Xbox couldn't even respond to controller input at all. Not sure how it got released in that state. I never finished it, far from it. So I'd love to see an iOS port too.

Reading some things online apparently the release was a bit shoddy. I didn't actually find any issues when I played it on my mac, perhaps they should port that version.

Also 20 hours in and the fight I am in now is really hard! Don't remember it being so difficult before!

I think from memory being dark side is easier than light (I am light, but played both before!). Have to play both though if you haven't!

I found this to be true -- the last bounty hunter fight and the fight on the Yavin station were killer when I was light, but much easier the second time around as a dark player. Could be a coincidence as I was a more experienced player by then, but I don't think so.

I honestly felt better playing as light, though....killing people after they begged for their lives made me a bit uneasy. Perhaps I should remember it's just a game, but I got SO into it, and isn't that the point?

If you got dark then you can force choke.... And that is worth it all the uneasiness.

I was fighting 'The One' on the unknown planet. First one where I have had to use a pick them off one by one tactic. The rancors just killed me straightaway, had to line the up on te bridge and do it one by one!
