23 minutes left on the download + another 10 or so for the initial install/reboot, i'm guessing... can't wait to see how this runs on a Mini. Stay tuned for initial impressions!
? How is this on ipad2, toned down graphics or any lag? Sorry I havent gone thru much of the thread but just was hoping someone could help me out?
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic gameplay on iPad by 148Apps Info: "This first thirty minutes of gameplay on the iPad version of the classic Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Notice the game has been updated to make use of touch controls and a tutorial on those controls are in the first couple minutes."
If you go to Aspyr's FAQ page regarding this game, they answer the questions of whether or not this will be released for the iPhone and Android with what is essentially a "stay tuned". So it seems like they realize the interest is there (whether or not they end up doing it is another matter).
I read in the ign review that there were some issues with the movement controls. Any chance that a good virtual dpad will be implemented at some point? Also more impressions please!
If they do add virtual controls for movement, it'll be nice to add a few extra things like retina and shadows. That would round out the game to being even more perfect.
Jade Empire times a million. I'd LOVE to see that on the iPad. *sigh* I can dream, can't I? --DotComCTO
And while you're at it, can you please convince someone to bring Jade Empire to the iPad? --DotComCTO
Played the first 'mission' type thing where you are trying to escape the ship. So far pretty much no hiccups on my mini. Super excited!
Ya, played half of first mission on ipad 3 while at lunch. Happy so far. You can certainly tell its not retina on the start menu screens and cut scenes/movies, but in actually gameplay so far it looks fine to me. A little dated and jaggy but not as bad as screenshots in the App Store. As far as movement, something is a little off, but not terrible. I can't remember if the Xbox version had left stick movement right stick look, but some virtual sticks replicating that would be nice. Overall pleased. Will certainly be a time killer.
