@DBC I think you are talking to Enjoo but what I use is blademaster, full perseus armor, have the M-2781, nova27(or any weapon without speed penalty), and 2 great health packs (I usually use 1 but just in case)

I dunno. The cygni is +1 speed better, but you lose 10% power, plus the hp, plus a 10% gold bonus, plus the exp bonus, and the -30% melee damage bonus. That's a lot to give up for +1 speed.

You should care about the cooldown. You have to factor that into the dps. I don't have it so I don't know how long it fires before you hit the 5s cool down, but let's say it's 5 seconds. That would mean in a 10 second period the cannon would do 5*5*300 = 7500 and the M-2781 would do 5.88*10*200 = 11760. A substantial difference. But what self respecting player deals with weapons that aren't fully upgraded? So add in the 3.5x multiplier: 5*5*300*3.5 = 26250 vs 5.88*10*200*3.5 = 41160 Naturally the longer the "on" period is vs the cool down the better. If it's 10 seconds on and 5 seconds off you get: 5*10*300*3.5 = 52500 vs 5.88*15*200*3.5 = 61740 Also consider that after each cooldown there is a short power up time. With the M-2781 there is a startup time, but once you start firing you don't have to stop. This will also negatively impact the laser cannon's dps.
I guess. But 7 speed (assuming perseus set + sam pack + M-2781) should be enough to dodge most attacks. If you carry the crab or the nova you can swap it in for a temporary +2 speed boost too. Asasnator mentioned doing it with 5 speed, although that seems pretty sluggish to me.
Also it is confirmed, the gold amount dropped from the bosses has been changed from how many players still left alive too how many players entered the boss fight. Awesome change on their part, just had a group in double rages and 1 guy died instantly, on the mantis's first attack and the second guy left shortly after. I managed to solo them and glad I got the amount of gold I rightfully earned. =]
