So, I picked up the Windblade, mostly out of boredom... undead.exe, remember your post about the WB increasing fun? Wow, what a rush! I decided to try it out on PP. On my first attempt, I died during the boss fight after taking way too much damage in the prior stage. I was switching back and forth between the WB and the chaingun. I killed the boss on the second run without firing a single shot before getting to him (her?). The bull was tricky, but I just needed to separate it from the herd before going to work on it. Going back to my comments on the Cutter, the WB definitely changes your play style. I see what you mean about the tip of the blade. I can't explain it, but with the WB, the space between me and my enemies is somehow, idk, different. I am infinitely more aggressive with it right now, to the point where I've got to retrain some restraint, lest bad, potentially fatal habits start to form... What is this thing going to be like fully upgraded? Yikes! DBC
@felder the blademaster is great, it makes you move faster, you can dodge poison and if swords are bad for bosses(which yes they are) then forget the meelee attack part. You can just use the speed boost and poison dodging. Float is better but it costs 120 mithril which is way too much. The stk-06-zz backback is good, if you have good weapons. If you have a horrible weapon the +50% energy will haunt you but if you are good enough(I am) you won't need to spend that much ammo. So that means the 50% energy only adds 30,000 and the serpents payoff is 1,000,000 so that 30,000 will make no difference. Also if you have a heavy weapon you will NEED that speed bonus to help. Fine th's and exxageration but your backpack has to be light so use this or the blademaster to get more than just speed but also speed. About the float and sam, THEY ARE BOTH MITHRIL NOT WORTH THEMITHRIL.(the sam is kind of worth it but the +2 speed from the stk is way too epic.) Also I would test the single player bosses but I didn't want to waste my ammo if the answer was yes, using the blademaster and windblade on survival mode gets more money if the answer was yes. @ DBC remember the blademaster... Then 875*1.4= 1225, more powerful than the base of a sniper rifke... And with your swordplay, the aliens will not escape...
Soooooo, survival with the BM & WB, huh? What's your map of choice? What's the pay-out like (time spent vs. cash)? If the servers are down long enough, maybe I'll just forgo the final upgrade to the big 'ol gun and pick up the BM so I can level up the WB... DBC
I like the lair for survival, just stand on a hill and (this is what I do) use the sword as a gun. When enemies are at the base at the hill "shoot" at them. But I love the blue ball shooter dudes. You can circle them slashing at them till they die, that is so fun. I don't really know the time vs. money but with 200 kills you get 70,000 money(if you suck like me and can't get a good combo.) but that takes away 1000 health and you have above 20,000 health so don't think you can only get 70,000. Also this is awesome because the ammo cost is nothing and you can get pickups you you GAIN ammo doing this. Also STK-06-zz can't affect the ammo because it is 0. I edited this so many times because there is so many awesome things about BM + WB.
So, after getting owned by Siegfried in SP, I tried MP... and the "Maintenance" prompt has been replaced by the "Sorry" prompt... Progress? DBC
While you've got nothing but time on your hands, wanna help a relative noob? How in the name of all that is good and right do I defeat Siegfried solo? I went in with full health, used a HC, suit-boosted, and I took less than half his health before he buried me... DBC
Use some health packs... And also in the first wave do not get hit at all, that health will affect you a lot. Also don't be afraid to stop shooting to avoid attacks and UPGRADE your M-2781.
Looks like I'm gonna need a bigger bag... I didn't get hit at all during the first wave, and I wasn't afraid to stop shooting, but I think he has anger management issues. That and really bad, flamey breath. As for the upgrade? I'm getting there, but it's gonna be a minute... DBC
Mad! I had two people with full perseus armor but here's the good part, one had an average assault rifle and the other had the first sniper rifle. I got 3 mithril so whatever.
What's that you say? I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you... Because I was playing MP! I'm maxed out on Mantis, PP, and Siegfried (yeah, that's right, I killed it), but I'm down for whatever! DBC
