For this Minor delay we should all be updated to full Perseus outfit, windblade maximum strength, M-27 maximum strength Everyone on equal footing All of this free of course!!!!
That would make this game soooooooooo boring. But does anyone knows if playing a boss on single mode twice a day reduce the reward?
That maaaay or may not take some fun out of the game, depending on your gaming style or how you look at things >.> For example, DBC's famous swordplay was developed with the Cutter, which is a non-ranged weapon encouraging extensive close-ranged distance management. While the windblade's long-range capabilities and power are improvements in every way, you could argue that stronger weapons might not lead you to hone certain skills a weaker weapon would have (e.g. the Windblade generally won't encourage close-ranged distance management so much when it can kill most things in one hit, though it will also allow for a much more aggressive playstyle). @DBC: By the way...how WOULD you describe how you usage the Cutter yourself? I've seen you backpedalling and swinging it against multiple enemies, whereas I'm a little fond of catching enemies with the tip of the blade while I strafe diagonally or circularly past them (you might be doing that too, but I can't tell from a third person perspective). The STK's additional energy cost of 50% really isn't that bad if you consider that ammo usage is only 70,000-80,0000 energy max against Siegfried and above: you'll continue making a profit with slightly elevated expenses, but you'll also be killing enemies and the boss more quickly and efficiently, while getting hit less. Your rate of profit might actually increase on a per-hour basis if it means you can get in more matches per hour, if you think about it that way. Darthguy, how's your progress towards picking up that laser cannon? (Yeah, I know the server's down, but just wondering if you were getting close before that happened ) --- Edit: Yeah, the boss rewards in single player mode DO scale down. I'm not sure if the single player boss rewards and the online boss rewards use the same counter though (I've never tested it, because single player doesn't give out mithril)
Well, not that good but seeing how much damage in a second the cannon does: 5*300=1500 and the M-2781: 5.88*200=1176ish So I don't care that much and the cooldown time barely matters, you have the cannon what do you think of it? I have 140 mithril.
Have any of you tested the specs on that new Sniper? I bought one earlier, went to a mantis run for fun, and annihilated mantis in roughly 4-5 shots. Interestingly powerful, IMO
No, I haven't bothered to buy the new sniper. Not only are snipers very difficult to use, they are almost impossible to aim an shoot and actually hit your target. Though on bosses I would have to say it would be kinda hard to miss even with how difficult it is to use. I have the first sniper that doesn't cost mithril, have it fully upgraded and used it with the thunder suit and stk pack. I tried it on mantis and other bosses...it wasn't very effective at all compared to the M-27B1 and would be even less effective in multi-player when the bosses have somewhere between 50% to 100% more HP. So not only does the new sniper cost mithril, but it is only slightly stronger then the non-mithril sniper. So the way I see it..unless you amazing at snipers and you "think" you might be able to one shot players with full Perseus armor when fully upgraded, I wouldn't bother getting it. Btw, the R100 railgun has 3500 pow at rank 8 and the R700 AA railgun has 4900 pow at rank 8. So it is hardly an increase. Also note that the R700 AA apparently based on its description has the ability to slow the target it hits..it's unclear if that actually works and if it works, it's unclear by how much %SPD it reduces the target. But once again, it is very difficult to aim an fire that weapon and have it hit the target..so to me that ability is irrelevant.
I think the sniper sucks but is fun to use also I just tap the shoot joystick to shoot so it doesn't have to zoom, go me the gun is just a shotgun with good range.
I had fun with them for awhile when they first came out. I was for the most part able to one shot players and if not 1 shot, it was possible in 2 shots. But those days are over..
Alright guys, I've been lurking for a while and not responding because the whole sword thing is a little embarrassing. Flattering, and I thank you for the kind words, but yeah, I guess I don't receive compliments well. Here's the answer: undead.exe (as is getting to be pretty commonplace for me) nailed it with what is quoted above. The genesis of my "technique" (oh God, did I just type that?) came from needing to not die against often vastly superior critters while trying to conserve ammo as much as humanly possible, simply because I had no money. Alright, everyone put away the Kleenex, I'm fine now. Without the cutter, I don't know if I would have the, idk, "collision detection cone" awareness I have now, because I had to learn to survive. How does it work? What you may or may not see is I am often actually going through the point of impact and then veering a fraction of a second before it happens. The veering will either be to the front, back, or one of the sides, depending on where the biggest threats and biggest rewards are. To explain, if health is a priority, I will opt to break the collision barrier and then veer away from that enemy and any others that threaten me, minding each individual threat, their "collision cone," and best possible points of egress. If health is not a priority, for example with many lower level baddies around me, I will choose a target and work to build my best multiplier from the first onward, with each separate collision barrier being accounted for. It's funny, when undead.exe mentions the "tip of the sword" thing? The difference is I'm going through that thin slice of space separating both myself and the enemy from sustaining damage... One last thing, what I wrote above is not exclusive to potential melee damage. Projectiles are also calculated into my usage of the Cutter, including veering away from or into and through spitters... The blademaster is pretty terrible. Swords are very ineffective against bosses. The float is ok, but I prefer the sam if I'm grinding since it has better gold and experience bonuses. If you're not grinding the STK is the way to go. The avoid poison effect of both packs is fairly useless. It's not like the poison is hard to dodge on poison pit or serpent.
This is a stretch. It's only a 10% increase in power over the sam or float. You're also losing a 25% gold bonus from the sam. You still make a profit with the STK, but it is considerably less. That said, the STK is the best pack if money and experience are no object. Single player and multiplayer rewards do not use the same counter. I ususally do both. I'll do a full round of the online bosses and full round of the single player ones every day. If I'm bored I'll do a second round of both as well.
