Man, this thread has become incredibly active. I'm loving it Just out of question, are most of you guys going by Central American Time (GMT -6:00)? Just wondering when everyone's online relative to myself, because my timezone puts me at GMT +10:00 (yeah, timezone difference of 16 hours >.>).
Ah, I might hop into one of your guys' games at some point, if that's alright, I want to see whether my current equipment is compatible alongside more cooperative teammates >.> Edit: maaaaaaybe not right now, eating <.<
wow, just went through all the bosses and got a total of 14 mithril, with 17 being the highest, pretty lucky =D Edit: also I just completed siegfried with 5 speed, and didn't get hit once. So it is very possible to solo siegfried even at lower ranks and weak weapons, just have to know attack patterns.
The lag from me to you is annoying. That rhino on double rages almost got me. I cleared by the skin of my teeth. Hard to dodge things when they teleport...and aliens dying as they pop up is interesting too. Nice playing with someone where I don't have to do all of the work though.
Do you keep your M-27B1 out while Siegfried's spitting out fireballs from the sky? With 5 speed, I can dodge everything Siegfried throws at me EXCEPT those, partially because I'm too lazy to switch to another weapon to move faster; it's the splash damage I get hit by, but I've got much more than enough HP to really worry about that. Also, please let me know what you think of Double Rages and Serpent on 5 speed if you try them out, those two irritate me to no end if my teammates die =.=" Edit: Felder, I'm still eating, so won't be online atm. The nickname I go by when I'm playing publicly is "undead.exe", but that's admittedly not my main account (main account has real life friends on it, trying to make sure I don't infringe upon their privacy by accidentally revealing their names if I add anyone online) Edit 2: Gonna start doing my run for the day now, not setting passwords atm
haha I just did all the bosses with 5 speed, you can easily have a perfect run with 5 speed against the Serpent boss, however it will be just sheer luck if you manage to get a perfect run on Double Rages. The mantis has that beam ability when its in the air..and I have no clue how to dodge it. I've been able to dodge it a few times, but anytime I try to repeat what I did to dodge it..it doesn't work..so I'm completely stumped on how to dodge that beam attack. Also with 5 speed, those two flying discs the mantis throws at you when hes in the air is very difficult to dodge. To dodge it successfully you need to be strafing the way that the second disk is coming in at you, because that disc is only disc that you can actually dodge, where as if you try to strafe the way that the first disc is coming in at you, you will get hit pretty much every single time to my knowledge, you can also try running directly at them, that can work if you have a good amount of speed. But besides those two attacks, you can dodge everything else pretty easily...which all their is left is his charge and melee strike haha and his 3-5 windblades that he will have come out of his claws when hes in the air, similar to siegfried's fireball attack when hes on the ground, simply just run in-between them and it should be fine. Haha yeah, I was pretty impressed that you managed to stay alive through the whole Double Rages fight with only a sliver of health..I couldn't even tell that you had any on my screen haha. Though you were a bit lucky that BOTH the mantis' targeted me haha, lost about 1/4 my HP. Felt like I was tanking them for you lol. Yeah, I was experiencing some lag too...though I think it was because the 3rd person was hosting, that one guy wearing the full pegasus armor had HORRIBLE connection. He eventually d/c'd and it got a lot smoother for me at least, and even when I wasn't hosting some of the other matches (either you were or the 3rd person was) I wasn't getting much lag at all on those either. Haha yeah, nice to have a little competition once in awhile for killing the initial wave of aliens. =p EDIT: Undead.exe, anyone that YOU add as a friend can only see YOUR real name and too us we will only see your other friend's nicknames, not their real names. =p We would have to add your friends in order to see their real names. haha EDIT2: Also, you do know that you don't need to add us as a friend in order for us to play together on this game?? So that is a bit odd that your making a second account for a game that doesn't even affect that..lol
I think I might head to sleep soon. I should setup a server for voice chat. Do you guys have head sets? I think it'd fun to have voice chat while playing with others from this forum.
Felder, I've got a headset here, having a way to communicate DURING the matches would be quite awesome Asasnator, yeah the Mantis beam dodgeable. You can either go underneath it as Felder said, or you can backpedal to dodge it (although that becomes significantly harder with 5 speed, as you noted). From memory, I think the Mantis usually fires its beam in an anti-clockwise direction, so I'm usually strafing diagonally away from the Mantis towards the side where it will finish up its beam. It might also be possible to dodge the beam by running TOWARDS the Mantis from the side where it will finish up its attack, but most ideal way is to be outside the arc of the beam entirely. I'll need to try out what you said for the discs, those things annoy me to no end. Thanks for the tip Edit: Asasnator, the second account was in case I ended up adding anyone's game centers from here, though everything you said still stands. I only realised that after I played a few rounds with DBC >.>
Well you can easily transfer over your data to your main account if you want. You might have to disable your wifi on your idevice while doing this, to confuse the system. But what you would do is simply log into your main account then disable wifi, start up the game and all the data from your previous account should still be their. Then maybe play a match so it saves the data to that account, then log online and you should be good. In theory it should work. =p
Ah, thanks for the advice Asasnator. The data's actually already been transferred, but I'm gonna keep the two accounts separate (different people recognise me by different nicknames) Edit: Would you be able to Skype voicechat on the same iDevice that you're playing Star Warfare on, or would you need to be playing in front of a computer logged into Skype for the chatting system to work? Edit 2: On a somewhat related test, it looks like you can play your own music from the same iDevice while playing the game. However, does anyone know of a way to adjust the game and music volumes independently of each other? My music files are drowning out the sound effects from the game, and I use those to listen for where the enemies are.
