No, I've played with several freeloaders, I just don't leave/try to kill them for the sake of the player who's fighting. PS: I've had limited sucess playing "kill the freeloader"
Yeah, I thought like you once... before my frustration pushed me to the dark side. The way I see it now, if the other (third) player gets killed, it encourages one more player to not tolerate selfish gameplay. OTOH, I don't tend to get other (third) players killed, but that might have something to do with my Rank and load-out... Edit: If you ever stumble into one of my "kill, kill, kill the freeloader" matches, just stand behind me or hide somewhere until it's over. I won't let you die, and I can pretty comfortably solo all the bosses... DBC
Unless my schedule clears up, I won't be playing for a while. Stand behind you on the boss!? That NEVER ends well in boss fights, unless you're trying to kill the person in front of you.Btw, the only bosses I might die on are rages and serpent, the others are a walk in the park. If my teamates are putting out as much or more damage than my level 6 M27(with HC's, of course), than rages is easy. I've actually never beat serpent, I've played like 5 serpent matches: 1-both players leave as soon as it starts 2-both players die/leave before boss 3-one player makes it to boss and quickly dies 4-one player makes it to boss, dies when serpent is at half health 5-same as 4, but serpent was at 1/3 health On 4 and 5 by the time they died, I had used up my hyperclip and without that boost in dps, even with 2 great healths I couldn't outlast it.
Good luck getting me killed... Serpent will get a bit easier when your M is fully leveled. Fret not. If we can get a third, I'd be down for running Serpent with you. Your Level 6 M is plenty added to my maxed 8, and I'd even use HCs... Frankly, as I said, you could just stand behind me and keeping popping Maxi-Healths. Next time you run Serpent, make sure to keep your distance, and when he teleports, drop the M for something lighter (I use my WB). When he comes out of the last jump, you should already be spinning up your M. It helps a lot. I forgot to mention, if you DO run Serpent, don't actually stand behind me. I tend to like to ride him around the ring whilst I kill him, so if you were right behind me... well, it wouldn't exactly be the safest spot... DBC
I'm pretty sure it's somewhere around the house, because I got on it yesterday morning, then when I looked for it last night I couldn't find it. Of course, I have an annoying habbit of forgeting where stuff is
DBC, are you still using the Perseus/SAM, by any chance? I must suggest you try out the Thunder again if you're barely getting hit by enemy attacks, you'll be surprised at how fast things die with that armour
Blademaster is pretty much the only pack I can fight serpent in, so that's only 3 items. What do you think I should bring?(once I find my ipod)Btw, I use either Gold hybrid: Perseus head, Cygni chest,Deca arms,Chaos legs Power hybridegasus head,Perseus chest,Thunder hands,Chaos legs Or Thunder armor for bosses For serpent I wouldn't wear thunder though...
I'd suggest you use the gold hybrid if you still need gold for buying or upgrading anything, Serpent drops a lot. Power hybrid and Thunder are designed more for killing things quickly, with power hybrid offering more HP, and Thunder offering more potential power. It's very much possible to take out all of the bosses using Thunder, but you'll best be aided by thorough knowledge of the spawn patterns and boss attacks.
Yeah, I still need gold, and a LOT of it. The alien wave isn't a problem, I can make it though with no hits if I'm careful. I know the serpent attacks, but the teleport charge is what gets me, and not reacting fast enough to dodge its charge. I could be wrong, but does the "official" power armor have pegasus legs? That would boost pow by 5%. I didn't do that so a- I can get some extra gold, and b- so I don't lose speed
There's no real "official" power armour, just a couple of variants of it: Helmet: most commonly Pegasus, but Phoenix is actually the ideal helmet (gold, power and HP) Legs: for absolute power, Pegasus or Andromedae (second one slows you down, but also adds more gold and HP). You can use Chaos for speed and gold by sacrificing power.
The idea is that you kill them before they kill you, you've got more than enough power to do that if you've preserved 90% of your HP in the alien wave Well...you CAN actually dodge everything, but I'm too impatient for that. I just like to mow everything down ASAP >.>
I'd love to have Pheinix head, but that's way to much mithril for 5% gold, at least for me. I'm saving up for mithril sniper
I have actually been switching between the Perseus/FLOAT and the THUNDER/BM, mostly to make it more challenging. Trouble is, people usually bolt on me as soon as they see a Rank 12 player show up in Thunder gear... DBC
That IS true, and rather annoying... Ahh, their loss: the Thunder player saves them a lot of time and ammo if they know what they're doing...
