THAT was a specialised boss killing technique: there were some techniques developed fairly recently which make all the bosses seem like pushovers, but ordinarily, they're meant to be a bit tougher. Mantis...nah, it was pretty weak to begin with, and you can actually kill it in a split second with two shots. Poison Pit isn't supposed to be too tough once you get into the swing of things (dies within 3 seconds if done properly), but from Siegfried onwards, you need to stay on your toes.
Yeah, I noticed the mobs were a bit more durable that run too. Is my AR worth upgrading at all? I can afford NOVA27, Trinity, and Wind Cutter. Not sure how much exp left to Rank 6. Where can you see that outside of finishing stages?
Finishing stages in single player mode appears to be the only way to see your EXP at this point: just start a quick single player match and then leave to see where you're at. I forgot what assault rifle you're using again? The NOVA-27 is clearly better, but it'll eat up a fair bit of gold: if you've got less than about 3 millino gold in total, don't buy the NOVA-27 yet, or it'll get in the way of you getting the Thunder. If you liked what you saw when I used my Trinity, it's an idea, but keep in mind that it's quite mithril-expensive, and that mine was fully upgraded (mine would be 3.5 times stronger than what you're about to buy without upgrades). Windblade seems like a good option. If you're not Rank 6 yet, want to do another run? I would NOT recommend Siegfried at this point, because I think he'd literally take you out in one hit, and I no longer have the necessary firepower to keep him pinned down when there's more than one player in the room.
I got just over 1.3mil. I'm game for another run of whatever you want to pick. I have enough from free offers to get both the Mithril weapons so ill grab em both afterwards. Should have just over 100 after to build on...
Poison Pit again, then: Siegfried's opening four moves are charges like Mantis's, but I think you can only survive one or two of them tops. It's best you get accustomed to fighting Mantis on your own first before you try Siegfried with some stronger armour (Thunder Armour is enough once you figure out how to use it). Password 3000 again -- and again, I'm using the same combination I did just then. I'll post some youtube videos afterwards of what the boss fights are actually meant to look like when you're not using overkill tactics >.>

EDIT: Those are pretty intense. I'm looking forward to testing some strategies out. I've got an early morning so I'm gonna call it a night for now.
