I'm not sure that the hackers have been replaced -- the surviving ones may have just gotten smarter about it. And I haven't seen much of the Trinity or the Phoenix, but I'm starting to encounter Perseus/Tri-O-Avatar/Trinity players a lot. It *is* a little vexing at times, admittedly, but I'm finding it somewhat amusing to see said players quitting if you manage to kill them -- which actually isn't that hard if you have a Tri-O-Avatar yourself, or otherwise engage them at long range.
You'll effectively have an extra 25% HP from the damage reduction, but I'm not fond of how it has no power or speed bonuses. I think the HYD would be better because of both the HP regeneration and the 20% chance of not taking damage, as well as the Tri-O-Avatar because of selective damage dampening. Maybe take it for a spin in PvP and see what you think, but I can't really picture it being that effective unless it's paired with possibly the Phoenix or the Andromedae (two armours with the ability to top-up their HP).
Yeah, the the TT-05-b comes quite cheap. The thing about the Tri-O-Avatar, however, is that when the ability is active, you take very negligible amounts of damage -- it's effectively invincibility provided you're not on your last sliver of health. It's extremely useful for surviving against a Trinity opponent, or just for outlasting the person you're fighting -- you're meant to use it when you encounter someone, and then stay out of trouble for about 30 seconds (or at least, close-range encounters) before going in for another messy fight. I haven't really used it that much (only got it yesterday), but that's what I've figured out about it from fighting Perseus/Avatar/Trinity players numerous times -- they're ridiculously sturdy if you give them time to activate the ability, and even the Twin Snipers does almost nothing to them.
Mostly focusing my attention on Serpent nowadays, followed by Siegfried, and then maybe Double Rages. I need something new, because it feels like the action isn't frantic enough beyond Serpent's alien rush. Going to handle this last assignment first, and then focus my attention on the videos and the picture requests from earlier in this thread.
Not THAT much... Waiting for a tournament for a chance even though its slim to win a addon or the rpg. I've been playing a jet "simulator"(not really) and a village builder
Jediknight. Hmm you saw my post last time? Cause I've been stop playing for quite a long time . Undead how the twin sniper work? Simply fire then tap on the weapon to the next sniper . Then fire again?
Yeah, I think a few of us would still remember you from back then. I distinctly remember you because that was roughly the same time that DBC made his second appearance in this thread (and the beginning of when he started turning into a complete monster o___O) To do the Twin Snipers, fire a sniper, and then before the sound effect ends, tap on the weapon scroller if your other sniper is the next weapon in your bag -- there's no need to fire again, because snipers cause the next weapon to automatically fire because of the way they're programmed. Weapons which also share this same "automatic fire" effect include the Black Disk and all of the swords.
Thanks! It seems many people had recommended the thunder armour, but isn't 20k HP too short? I think hybrid armour with power % seems interesting too
Yeah, power hybrids are quite potent as well. The thing is, we ran a couple of projects a while back, and most people in this thread are capable of fighting Serpent and Double Rages using nothing BUT the Thunder Armour. 20k HP is quite low, yes, but that's the idea: you're meant to dodge attacks rather than rely on your HP to survive.
Don't forget: the ability gives you a speed AND damage boost, an invaluable asset in boss battles. Combined with a couple of hyperclips and a high-DPS weapon, you will rip through anything. The whole idea behind Thunder turns defense into offense, and when used right, is extremely powerful.
Haven't seen anyone do this yet, and seeing as we can't play with Frost, I might as well put these up. I was bored in class today and drew up these (very rough) overhead views of the first three boss stages from memory. I indicated the spots I have has the most success from camping in as the green Xs (or circles), and enemy spawn points as the red Xs. The red circles are where you will get the most kills (usually). Dashed lines indicate a slope or incline. Hope this helps, will make the rest soon.
THANKS lava! I've checked my previous post and it is at near 100 page haha. Hmm... Usually i pull out my gun in boss stage. But not the stage before boss, isn't its a waste to use gun at the previous stage? As the ammo cost quite a lot >.< Also, player in my server seldom play boss fight, and even they created poison pit, their equipment are unable to fight OR they set a rank limitation for rank like 9-10 T.T
As long as you're not constantly spraying your gun into thin air, you'll make much more money than the ammo costs you incur (you'll actually need to be trying to waste ammo to make a loss rather than a profit). You can make quite a bit of money from the alien phase alone as well, but you won't need the M-27B1 for the aliens on Wrath of Mantis -- the Nova will do quite well, or one of the other weaker weapons if you don't have a Windblade. You'll probably want at least the Thunder Armour before you try Poison Pit, because the actual boss itself is a fair bit more resilient than Mantis. Other than that, you really won't have much trouble once you've got a little more HP and a bit more speed than the Hydra.
