Haha, I knew a handful of players from back then..good times =] Would help if Freyr would release more pve content as opposed to pvp stuff. I remember when they first released pvp, was actually fun for awhile..till the hackers became more and more abundant. Haha I was actually rank 1 for awhile in pvp =p Btw, has anyone ever figured out how to get a high score in the pve boards? I'm pretty sure you can only get it from playing online and by playing a infinite wave level...but not sure how exactly the score is calculated.
I think the score is some kind of aggregated number, because I don't think I've actually gotten my number of PvE kills on the board in a single sitting. Maybe it's an aggregate of all your infinite wave games, both online and offline? Because I seem to recall doing my highest score offline, unless enemies killed in boss grinding are somehow also factored in...
I'm guessing it's one of either two options: that one, the leader boards are calculated by the number of kills achieved in an infinite wave in one sitting, or the total PvE kills made by that person.
Just thought of another useful little thing you can do with the White Drill... You know how it's sometimes hard to see the puff of dust which indicates where Serpent is going to emerge from underground? This homing little baby can pinpoint exactly where it is if your aim is close enough (Thinking of ways we can demonstrate warning beacons to other players: so far, it looks as if firing at the spot is the best indicator, though it's easier to see if you're using the Laser Cannon or the Railguns) ------------ BIZARRE thing that an anonymous wiki contributor just alerted us to: Go to the Store/Customize screen, and turn your character around. Look at the size of your backpack. Now equip the Titan Chest and watch what happens... SUPER SIZED ME!! O____O
Okay, this last assessment I need to handle is going to take a bit longer than anticipated, so I won't be able to pull out more finetuned versions of the high-quality armor photos just yet =.=" Two things: I've been hung up on the trailer for the Thunderstrike videos for so long that I'm starting to think I'll be better off creating a "title clip" to use with all five videos, ditch the trailer altogether and just start uploading after syncing the raw videos with soundtracks. In that case, do you guys want me to handle the pictures first, or the videos? Give me a VERY quick reminder of what your armour specifications were again if you'd still like me to make a picture for you; this is also to act as confirmation that you guys are still interested. (I think I mostly remember Lava's specifications, while Superion's requested a darker shade of blue, a Draco/Pegasus Head, and yellow-green sketchlines. Parcheesy, I don't remember hearing feedback from you, confirm with me if you still want me to do one for you)
Hm..I'm pretty sure it isn't a combination of all your infinite wave matches because my current number is like 910 or something, and I've played a handful of PvE infinite wave levels since then and it has not increased. How I got that score was from playing on the Lair level and got some 1000+ kills...yes that did take awhile =p
Yeah, the enemies spawn a little too slowly. Makes it easy to survive, but hard to pull off long combo chains =.= (and yeah, I heard about your insane 150+ combo chain or so o__O) I'm not sure if I've ever killed my number actually, it sounds much too high for what I remember. I've definitely breached 1000 in a single match before, but I don't get why your displayed score is 950 despite you clearly having done more than that...
haha my highest chain was 164, I killed every alien on the siegfreid initial wave in a row. =p But yeah, I have most certainly killed more then 950 from infinite wave levels combined because I spammed those levels constantly when first starting the game and getting 100+ each time I played. So how they calculated the pve score eludes me.
Mithrils issues Hi guys. I have got about 60 - 70 mithrils ( i guess ) from the FREE MITHRILS on the main screen.But now I click on the " more games " and "offer for mithrils" , nothing happens.It doesn't work now.I used my friend's iPad yesterday and there still have apps for you to download and earn for 5 mithrils.Do you guys faced such problems???
PvE Score Guys? is the ancient art of visually recognising patterns on a surface and assigning them culturally-agreed meaning (aka "reading") dying out here? When I look at the GC leaderboards, it clearly says "Max Kills (PvE)" for that score. And that is what the score shows, as I can confirm from personal experience: The maximum number of kills you did in a PvE level, which leaves you with infinite wave mode as only option to get any meaningful score there. Not that it is worth bothering, as the first few hundred (at least) scores are hacked ones. I don't remember the exact numbers, but in some discussion (on the Freyr forums I think), anything above a few thousand was considered impossible, because with the enemy HP scaling even the little default aliens get more HP than Serpent when you play long enough... To give you some numbers: The lowest score showing up on the first GC page is 50.153 , spot 25. I am rated on spot 1.145 with 1.224 kills. The first scores that I consider even remotely realistic appear around spot 200, at the very earliest. And from the scaling I saw between 1 and 1.124 kills, I am not sure if anything beyond 3000 or so kills is realistically doable. If we take that number, we end up around spots 300-350 having the first legitimate scores.
Hackers aside, here's the thing: to the best of my memory, I've only ever fought an infinite wave until about 1300-1400, tops, but my score's several hundred higher than that -- and I have the distinct impression that I've seen it rise in little increments over time despite having never attempted to break my max score. The second thing which makes me doubt the simplicity of that definition is Asasnator's current score: judging from what I've seen of his playstyle, and of his inherent knowledge of the game and past feats, he would have broken the 1000 barrier very easily -- yet his registered score is somehow below that threshold. I might go test it again when I have time, but there was a reason I didn't take the written definition at face value.
I've seen that happen too, yeah. I'm not sure if the offers are randomised between users, but one possibility is that you may have already downloaded and used the apps in question elsewhere, which would eliminate them from the offer list (or so I imagine, anyway...). Otherwise, I haven't a clue =.=
Oh okay.. thanks By the way, undeadexe, I've seen your video of those combos and the "twin sniper" , did you customize your key or anything to change your weapon? I didn't see you slide to change between your snipers(the weapon just jump to next weapon).How you do that??
If you tap the weapon scroller without dragging it at all (not even a pixel), it'll instantly jump to the next weapon in your line-up. I've found that iDevices can only accept a limited number of changing inputs at one time though, so if you're attempting to use the tap-change while also changing the direction your character is moving in, it probably won't work.
What is the BEST weapon? With out any upgrades(course I will upgrade still) was looking the sniper, but not sure. Oh! And I'm planning on buying possibly $15 of mithril, so those weapons included too!
