He's at the top of every leaderboard. At this point, most players just ignore him and look at the number two as the actual number one... DBC
I guess you were my mentor, and my hero, and, and... the wind beneath my wings... I think I've got something in my eye... DBC
=.=" If THAT'S how it came across, then I apologise. All I really did was take you on a couple of boss runs for finances, because you did everything else under your own steam o____O
Ahh, right, no worries. My frame of mind is a little skewed at the moment, so I'm probably being overzealous with the caution right now (hanging around the wrong types of people will give you the impression that everyone's out to pass judgment on you >____>).
Huh, I wonder if it had anything to do with me hearing about honest player(s) who may or may not have repeatedly spammed Freyr with emails saying, "Do you realize you have players openly discussing stealing from you in your own threads?" I mean, I don't know if that happened, but it could have, right? In other news: Good riddance. Maybe the recent actions by Freyr have something to do with the fact that I played 3-4 matches this week with players who actually, you know, cooperated? DBC
That doesn't sound good... everything alright? PM me? Oh, and speaking of PMs o), congrats on BTHD, but as I told you in the beginning, I knew it was going to happen. The game just fits your personality too well for you not to do well at it... DBC
I've actually encountered a freeloader and a quitter in the four matches I've played since my absence, so I don't think the update has completely weeded them out just yet. We seem to have lost most of the IAP-heavy players though. I'm not actually sure how many emails Freyr may have received from said types of whistleblowers, but it appears that they've actually implemented some kind of system for sussing out IAP-cracked files, because I'm finding SW players on Youtube also getting caught out -- and I haven't seen their names on the Freyr forums. I don't really mind either way, but that at least helps reduce one type of nuisance player...
It took me a while to get comfortable with it, but it's amazing how helpful your advice to bail on swordswingers has been. If a player does not pull out a gun or make an attempt to fight the bulls in the initial wave, I just bail. Virtually without exception, the player in question usually has next to zero kills when I bail, which tells me it was a good move. Makes me think of how cooperation is encouraged in BTHD. I wonder if more and more players bail on these "players," might they get the hint? Who knows, but it sure saves me some frustration. DBC
Nah, I'm good, but thanks for asking. Nothing to really write home about: have to manage the impressions you send out when you're around someone you haven't quite got figured out yet, and when you can't quite figure them out when you're stuck with them for a few days...yeah, it's a little draining >.> Every so often, you'll get a person who acts like a sword-swinging moron during the alien rush, but they'll actually pull out a proper gun for the boss fight. But then you'd also get the polar opposite too: guns during the alien rush, and swords during the boss fight. These people just can't make up their minds Freeloaders aren't frustrating me as much these days because I'm now playing more for the joyride than anything: I'm quite happy to leave a match whenever, including just as the boss is about to die, even if it means sacrificing the gold drop despite shooting some bullets at it. That lets me do two things though: Trolling swordsmen: like I said, I've got no problem knocking down a boss's health by 30-50%, and then just stopping if no bullets are coming from the other guy(s). I might use up some of my own time waiting to see who quits first between them and myself, but I'm quite happy to waste more than 5 minutes of their time. Two-player assist: I'm not that fond of ditching players who stick around and pull their weight, but I might leave a two-player boss fight when I'm confident that the remaining person can easily tip the boss over without too much trouble. The boss gold drops are now based on how many people ENTER the actual boss fight rather than how many survive, so you can leave quite safely without lowering your teammate's gold drop. Great for when you want to help a guy, but you still want to chase your own maximum gold drop from a 3-person match. Yeah, both options involve a bit of bullet "wastage", but that's down to how you think about it. I'm not that pedantic about gold farming these days because I'm in it for the joyride (hence the shift from hillside gold-farming turtle to streaking Thunder freak >.>), so I'm quite happy to put bullets in a boss without getting any gold for it to ensure that the remaining guys aren't disadvantaged by my presence in the room. It's a weird way of thinking, but I find I just enjoy things more this way
Oh yeah for got the tell you guys, I sort of umm leveled up in BTHD and kind of have the second best bazooka. :/ My secondary is (I think) the best flamer. I love the two weapons.
Hey guys. Yeah, I have a feeling that they're looking around for players on Youtube/Freyr forums that publicly announce themselves or show themselves off as someone who has IAP'd their game. I'm not sure about how they're going about doing it, but at the least the majority of the hackers, or at least the publicized ones, will be gone. Oh, and question: I like my name on GC, but I've always felt that there was some need to change (Jedi's change was pretty noticeable) I've had a name in mind for a while now, but do you think I should change it?
Can anyone help me with a boss run or two?? I don't have that great guns, and no purchased armor(saving up) I need to get to level 5 to get windblade
I can help! Try to stay near me though, the aliens are deadly when grouped, and I don't want you to die. You kill whatever you like, however My GC is ThePowerofLava, password 2002
I should have brought my HP restoring backpack, you were taking a lot of damage >_> Sorry if I was taking most of the kills, just wanted to keep the aliens off you... ( and unexpected viper is hard to work with )
