Hey guys? I just discovered something VERY handy which will let us track how powerful a weapon is at what level upgrade it is: ALL weapons follow this formula.

Starting from the weapon's Lvl 1 power, you multiply the Lvl 1 power by a certain ratio depending on what level upgrade it is (round down if you get a decimal number). The ratios are as follows:

    Lvl 1: 100% (duh)
    Lvl 2: 115%
    Lvl 3: 135%
    Lvl 4: 160%
    Lvl 5: 190%
    Lvl 6: 230%
    Lvl 7: 280%
    Lvl 8: 350%

You'll notice this trend most easily in weapons with starting powers of either 100 or 1000 (e.g. the R100 Railgun and the Lightbow).

Is there also a price upgrade ratio? That would be useful too.

Is your scout pegusas + the regen pack? If so you are immune 32% of the time...

Now im completely confuzzled. If my lev 2 sniper could take 40% of cyngi. Then wouldnt a level 8 sniper be able to take out anyone?

For the record, 32% was obtained by doing the following calculations:

20% chance of immunity = 80% chance of taking damage
15% chance of immunity = 85% chance of taking damage

    0.8 x 0. 85 = 68% chance of taking damage = 32% chance of immunity

Going from the other mechanisms we've seen in the game, I think this is the more likely scenario than "20+15 = 35% chance of immunity", because those calculations imply that it would be mathematically possible to attain 100% damage immunity if two pieces of equipment with high enough bonuses existed.

It's the same story with damage reduction: activating multiple damage reduction abilities won't allow you to completely negate damage, and that's when adding the individual damage reduction bonuses would have resulted in more than 100% reduction (which would then imply that attacks should have been healing you -- highly improbable without some sort of armour which absorbs lasers or something)

Level it up and see what happens first, there may yet be some damage scaling or damage caps that have yet to come into play.

    Lev it up? *starts farming*

It might not be worth it as I see most people sniping me taking 40-50% of my health with this sniper... Even pheonix dudes who just CANNOT do the twin snipers.
