Oh, completely forgot to ask you guys this: What should the next mithril purchase I make be? I have about 50 mithril, and the only purchase I have made so far is the WB
The original idea was for players to activate the voicechat component of Mumble, and then enter Star Warfare while leaving Mumble on so you can actually talk to each other in-game. Several catches though: It eats into your upload/download stream, which may well increase how much lag you experience if your connection isn't that strong Unless people set it up so that they're all joining different servers, players from different teams will hear what sort of tactics you're discussing (you can mitigate that by having people join servers according to what team they're on) Not everyone is feeling/can be particularly vocal. Still early morning for me here (don't even ask me why I'm still awake), and it's inherently strange to be talking to online friends in some households. We've got the necessary software workaround, but we didn't really think about how it's supposed to work if other people can hear your game chatter. Even if you don't want to talk, it's not a bad idea to tell people to join a Mumble server if you want to coordinate a match for the IM component: it makes it much easier to talk/organise things in real time in text than this forum here, though I'd suggest we look for some sort of IRC/publicly accessible IM system given that Mumble's screen is a bit small.
What interests you? Do you like PvP? Here's some interesting ones: Laser cannon, trinity, black stars, second railgun
That would depend what your gaming objectives are. For a PvP player, you'll want to start looking at some of the more popular mithril weaponry, probably (Trinity and Black Stars are quite powerful: the Laser Cannon is an expensive toy that may disappoint, sadly). For a gold-grinding player, take a look at the SAM backpack: the amount of extra gold it gives you is pretty obscene. It won't help you compete against other players for the alien kills like the Freedom does (infinite ammo), but the amount of extra gold you get from the first two times you fight each boss is pretty lucrative.
Yeah, probobly get trinity, as that is the only SINGLE weapon I fear. Edit: forgot about SAM, going to get that now (thanks undead)
