I'll give you one hint, anyway: dump the Energy Glove. That thing's useless in PvP with its level of damage.
I wonder how people on the iFreyr forums are rich enough to make me look normal. I want to know some reasons behind that.
I may as well see exactly what I'm up against in terms of configuration: you want to do a 1v1 PvP match? While I'm primarily out to test out the efficiency of the 3-weapon RPG combo against whatever it is you're using (be it an older or newer version), I daresay the results will be a bit skewed given my relative PvP ineptitude. ---------- As for the reasons they're richer than you? Savefile duplication from IAP-hacked files. I can't say I approve on the grounds of lost income to the people who developed this game for us, though I can't say openly voicing my disapproval is going to result in any productive discussion.
Hosting a FFA match on Ancient Vision, Password 2002. I don't particularly care whether I win or lose, it's mainly the efficiency of the RPG Combos I wish to test out. Feel free to speed things up however you want once we're past the 300 mark or so.
It appears we're fairly evenly matched...and unless I'm mistaken, we're actually using the same 3-combo variant. The differences in that match look like they're down to who sees the other player first, and possibly the exact way we choose to cycle through our weapons... --------- Just out of question, would you mind saying what weapons you were using, and what order you were cycling through them? I'm quite happy to disclose mine as fair trade, but that match looked like it was down to chance rather than skill with regards to how it actually played out.
I admittedly was using more weapons than really needed, though. In total though, I have to say letting the black stars fully fire first before switching seems like a better idea. I think we should test them out a bit more in open PvP. What do you say?
Define "open PvP", I'm not sure what you mean by that. And for the record, if you're using Cygni/STK, letting the Black Stars fully fire will knock off more than half of another Cygni user's HP. It'd presumably have the same effect with a Phoenix user, because their HP should be quite similar.
Ahh. Yeah, you would have been at a close range disadvantage then, because I actually go backwards in my cycle. Namely... (Black Stars --> Trinity --> RPG-31 --> Trinity) is ONE cycle.
Public PvP, sorry. I'll say the black stars fully fired with an stk is great, but personally I sometimes prefer the Avatar, as it's skill, while short, has a rather quick cooldown and provides a massive cover shield.
That's a nice setup, which I probably should have done, seeing as the Stars and Trinity aren't as massively nerfed as the other weapons.
Yeah, that might be where you'd prefer a hyper clip then. Alternatively, go with a regen pack if you have enough time to recover HP in-between assaults. Problem is that your mobility will be next to nothing... You want to host or call the shots for a public round? I don't want to do it too many times, because I don't want to subject too many hapless random opponents to the RPG Combo myself, or we'd be encouraging more IAP hacking/savefile duplication since people are quite adverse to paying money for a quick mithril fix.
Well, my mobility is at a solid 8 with the Avatar, enough for movement, but nothing close to a 10 or 11, though. I'm thinking of using the three weapon combo that you had suggested instead of my bulky 5, although I may settle for a slightly heavy 4. Another thing is this: I'm considering trading out a Hyperclip or two in my pack for a chance at a MASSIVE burst shield, good for high intensity levels of damage (Like JDualZ's Hyperclipped Twin Sniper Shots, or an RPG combo from behind.
Speaking of Public PvP though, why don't we both join a game with our three weapons of mass destruction and wreak havoc? I have a feeling that a lot of people have it coming to them.
Well, a lot of players are using the Nova Glitch as it is in PvP, so it may be that they do have it coming to them, and also, who's to say that PvP isn't what it is: Player Versus Player? I usually leave the small fries alone, while I head for the bullies (Phoenix+Trinity, rampant sniper teams)
You'd have 9 speed if you're running with the Trinity equipped -- though the problem is, no-one is going to try coming close to you if they see that weapon in your hands, which could be a bit problematic if you haven't packed a mid/long range contingency weapon... Burst shield? I'm not sure what you mean by that, and I'm not sure you're referring to the "Force Shield" consumable items. ------------- Several things have just divided my attention, so I might have to put off another PvP match for now =.=" Ping me again later, and I'll take you up on the offer when I'm a little more free. Trust me, fighting me is like shooting a sitting duck >_____>;
