Personally, as a hardened sniper and cannoneer, I make quick work of trinity users. I don't like to stay up close to them, as three shots altogether hurt like nothing else. I snipe them from afar, or use anything that really drains away large amounts of hp in a short amount of time. I'll say though, the last thing you want to use is an assault rifle, shotgun, or grenade launcher against a trinity user.
Yeah someone was connoning me in ancient vision, it was halarious. I ran around a small block and he continuously fired. I knew when his chargeup time was up and attacked him, he took out a trinity but no prob, ez slaughter there. It was an obvious IAP/hacker. No plan at all.
I ran five matches in first place. Sniped everyone. I did so well, all you would see on the screen was "Player Two killed Player X!"
A single weapon at close range won't come close to the effectiveness and versatility of the Trinity, if you're excluding the Black Stars. You're effectively asking about how you're meant to defeat the most powerful close-range weapon with weaker weapons within its comfort zone -- it's not a smart strategy. I would have ordinarily suggested running away from the Trinity player, and then running TOWARDS AND STRAIGHT THROUGH THEM in order to throw their aim off. The problem with that is that the Trinity kills in about 3 or 4 hits -- I don't think you'd actually survive that particular maneuver. If your aim is good enough, hitting a player with both snipers will usually bring them VERY close to death if they don't die from that. If that qualifies as a combo for you, however, then that's out of the question, never mind the inherent difficulty in using that properly. I haven't got it fully upgraded, so I can't really qualify this, but the grenade launchers seem decent enough provided you can actually get your shots to hit directly. At close range, I imagine that should be easier. Anyway, last piece of advice: for a Trinity person to attack you, they need to be holding down the fire button, which slows them down. Rather than engaging them at close range, I suggest you refrain from firing at them and strafe away from them: you'll move faster when you're not holding down the right stick, so that actually allows you to put distance between yourself and an attacking player fairly quickly. You can use this technique to vary your pace while you're strafing circles around an opponent, which makes it harder for them to get a bead on you. With the Nova, or another automatic weapon, you can exploit this and start strafing in a spiral pattern around a Trinity user, by shooting intermittently to vary your pace rather than shooting continuously. I'm not sure if this is what you're after, however, since a spiral pattern would mean that you're varying between close- and mid-range, and it sounds to me like you want to try tackling an opposing Trinity user right in his face. But overall? You're not meant to try fighting the Trinity at close range unless you have something of equivalent effectiveness and power. I've given you what tips I can think of to fight it with less expensive weapons, but they most likely aren't enough to negate the sheer strategic advantage your opponent will have in such a situation. For the record: what's going through my head when I'm running around with the Black Stars, or any variant of the RPG Combo? "I've got the more dangerous weapon set-up between the two of us." Doesn't mean I'm any more skilled, just means I'm holding more dangerous equipment. I do take pride in having thought of it on my own, however, but that doesn't translate to skill or being better than others either.
Yeah Trigger fist is a really enjoyable game. Mc3 is really laggy unles on iPad and there ha been an increase in hackers. So don't take the risk if you can wait for the sequel
A single weapon on its own? Nothing really ranks close to the Trinity and Windblade as close-range weapons, though you can always use the Nova at close range with a fair amount of damage. It just lacks lateral range because it neither slashes or splashes (damage >.>). Snipers are...feasible, but not really that practical because of their low rate of fire..
ipad 2... JDualZ: you might like the morpheous, it fully upgraded can actually do 2800 damage per shot... And no speed penalties... It is a fine weapon, and pretty much imposible to dodge, but a fortune to upgrade. Others may also think it to zhort of a range but actually in PvP it is quite good.
I envy iPad 3 owners. 4x the ram of my iPod. Yeah I might try out the Morpheus waiting for the update
You envy iPad3 owners? I know 3 and 2 of them experience tons of overheat issues. Not very good, when playing something with intense graphics it will overheat and turn off. Quite annoying actually.
Fully maxed? This guy almost beat me when I had trinity because he had more range. It took off 2/5 of my health each shot and so he took away a fair amount of health.
Strangely enough, I don't experience overheat issues on my iPad3 either, though I remember reading about it and wondering whether it would've been a smart idea to get one...I can tell you that it's noticeably heavier than the iPad2. Btw JediKnight, do you ever lose control of your M-27B1 if you spray it continuously and look around for a bit? I experience quite a bit of the "bucking" that Sheinfell mentioned a while ago when I'm on the iPad2, but that seems non-existent on the iPad3, strangely enough :/
On some of them, you can turn them off. My iPod heats up when playing mc3 too. Main reason: IPad runs smooth when my iPod chugs.
