Oh, I'm still here, but haven't been posting at all because I have nothing to say also, the reason vicedestroy hasn't been posting is because he is taking a vacation in Vietnam
Yeah but i sure do hope some others like grey, asdeadse 97, Assasnator(probably not though), superion, etc.
Just felt like making the title stand out, really. And Parcheesy, it was Size 5, apparently >.> Not so much me "yelling" as it is wanting to make the "heading" obvious, because there are a lot of subheadings in that post.
@ undead.exe - Sorry I bailed on the room, or I guess first sorry I barged in in the first place. I got excited when I saw your name, figured I'd try a password you tend to use, and actually got in... then I realized I might have been taking the place of someone who was actually planning on joining, so I bagged. DBC
Sheinfell's currently AWOL (or rather, his iPad is ) so if you want to run, hop in again! That was supposed to be my last round, but I can go another match if you're still around
@Enjoo + Sheinfell: I know you guys didn't drop out while playing alongside me yesterday, but did you guys experience any lag when I seemingly pulled out the Laser Cannon during our matches yesterday? If so, then DBC might have been experiencing connection issues not from seeing two Laser Cannons, but from my weapon switching while holding down the trigger. I'll shelve that technique if that's what's actually causing the dropouts for other players.
No I didn't. When doing runs with Parcheesy, he didn't experience any lag with two other people with laser cannons. Might be you switching.
Hmm, weird though, because you didn't experience any connection issues, and I was doing the switching thing in all three matches we played. I'll start with not bringing a Laser Cannon, then see if DBC still experiences any connection dropouts. If he does, then I'll assume it's the switching causing the problems - I don't really want to ditch that technique just yet
Sheinfell, I've scoured the net a bit and currently found what I *think* might be a way of recording the iPad screen in 5-10 minute intervals, at maximum. Think that will be of any use for us, or do you want an option with longer recording capabilities? (Currently looking at trial programs which allow for 10 minutes of airplay mirroring and 5 minutes of video screen-capture -- both can be extended quite significantly by upgrading to an actual purchase, but I'm not moving on that until I decide that I've got the time and interest to actually play around with those programs more seriously)
Nice one, undead. 5 minutes should be more than enough. I cannot really imagine that someone will watch a , say, 60 minute video guide in one sitting. So if we ever get around to making videos, splitting them into easily digestible parts sounds like the better idea. Plus, personally I do not like video guides at all, because I cannot control the speed at which I take the information in; and they cannot be search for keywords etc. I prefer text, with pictures where needed. But I can see how video allows to demonstrate some things (like your rocketlauncher-switching technique) much more easily than written words ever could.
I might try making a few demo videos right now - and I'm glad I didn't buy it, the Airplay framerate isn't quite to my liking (which is understandable, because it's using a wireless connection - and then trying to process 3D graphics on top of that). If you would like to know what I'm using, quote-reply this post saying so and I'll PM anyone who asks -- I'd rather not risk getting flagged for unintentional advertising, just in case >.> -------------- Update: from what I'm seeing, the Airplay mirroring starts going absolutely bonkers when you run a screen capturing program simultaneously with it. Something tells me my computer's processor and/or video card isn't up to scratch for this sort of set-up, but it's probably worth noting if any of you guys want to try a similar set-up. Also, what happens on your iPad isn't affected at all, aside from the sound muting a bit (might have something to do with my settings). What you see on your computer monitor may be a whole different story though...
Sure, shoot me a PM. Most likely I won't get around to doing anything with it, but I like expanding my knowledge
We should all make youtube videos on SW gameplay so we can see all of our playstyles. I would be interested in seeing Undead and Sheinfell's playstyles After the last update, i've been seeing more and more SW gameplay videos, and i enjoy them a lot. i already have a youtube channel(I made it just so I could comment on other videos) but I dont know if my recorder has good graphics or not.
