You guys crack me up! As long as he (she?) doesn't run everything into me and/or hide behind me during the initial wave? Meh, lurk away. Welcome, silent lurkers! Feel free to chime in! DBC
You know why silent lurkers unsettle me? Cos they burst out of the ground and start hacking at you with their scythe-arms
Wellll...whether it be a chittering lurker or a silent lurker trying to creep up on me, they now have a new crossbow to contend with In related news: I'M (crystal) POOR! Time to start grinding for a Power III and a Stabiliser IV... --------- More on topic: I'm wondering if it might be an idea to record some youtube videos for the guide, Sheinfell? There are apparently a few ways of doing it (at least one of which involves jailbreaking, but I'm not too interested in that), but I've been thinking about picking up the necessary HDMI adapter cables at some point for a few potential projects...
No, multiplier never works for me, I just know the basics and stuff view but not chat on the other forums... Stinger is quite good for running and gunning to me...
Well, hey guys. I've been reading this thread ( looking mainly for tactics and weapons) for a little bit now and finally decided I would join in. I haven't said anything because, frankly, I had nothing really to say. So, hi, I guess
Oh hi PowerofLava....glad you joined the club Many knowledgeable members will gladly help you out !!! Enjoy the game
Well, g'day! So you have a voice afterall By all means, join in any way you want: if you don't like looking through the threads for tactics and weapons, you can certainly ask us directly, and we'll quite happily restate it for you, or direct you to the appropriate post with a link - it's usually much quicker to ask us for info rather than digging it out yourself from over 500 pages's worth of posts You might also notice that we have a tendency to go offtopic at times on this thread, so since you've introduced yourself already, feel free to jump in wherever you want, be it offtopic or on-topic. Welcome
I don't see ThePowerofLava online in the TA roster I sure hope that he/she returns to read your past couple of posts with your warm welcomes It would be a shame if not read by the new member
Definitely sounds interesting. If it it doable without jailbreaking, that is. And we'd need some volunteers like you, I was so busy with work and family the last two weeks, I did not write anything for the guide. Structured some stuff in my head, but I need to write it down at some point... Do you know any good and easy ways to do a recording without a jailbreak?
Welcome to our merry bunch from me as well As DBC asked, and if you want to share: What rank and equipment do you currently have? Do you play PvE, PvP, or both? And if you have any questions, just ask away, we will help out as good as we can. --- @Capricorn: Ja, and? What if the Freyr folks read here, too? As long as noone gets rude, all fine with me. From the past of this thread, I'd say we provide the better time for them. No "pwn teh n00bz" talk and such... --- General: If anyone just wants to lurk and read, fine with me as well, it is their decision. There is a reason why I put the "everyone is welcome" line in the group description Don't want to discourage people from anything, be it just reading or joining in.
some of the posters are actually feeling the thread out. some threads tend to hate people asking questions rather than reading the whole thread or searching the thread. some get flamed for just asking. Good thing it doesn't happen here
The bulk of the screencast options I've seen are detailed here: http://www.labnol.org/software/record-screencasts-on-ipad-iphone/20958/ Option 3 (Adapter Cable + capture card) is what I'm considering, because that requires no jailbreaking and provides a cabled connection (I'm of the mindset that cable is more reliable than wireless). The only qualm I'd have with it so far is requiring to open the chassis of the computer. Miiight give it some thought... Airplay recording (Option 6) isn't something I'm too keen on for the purposes of Star Warfare, because I suspect the video quality is going to suffer if you're trying to airplay and record a graphically-intensive game. If it actually works well, though, I'd very much grab it for the easier set-up than the adapter cable solution. The Screen Record utility (Option 2) sounds incredibly awesome, but that requires a jailbreak -- if there's an actual app like that on the AppStore, I've yet to hear of it... Recording with a digital camera (Option 5) seems...a bit bland for my taste, and the last two options don't really seem to work for recording this game. I'll be doing a little thinking myself, but that's what I've found so far for whoever's interested. Lemme know if you find any additional alternatives
