I've been having a blast with the new MP mode. The fully upgraded Nova27 with the Atom suit kicks ass. Overall more DPS than the new laser shotgun. I upgraded my Nova27 after the update, is it regular to have the fire rate at .17 after being fully upgraded?
Oh wow, I just now noticed the nova27 has .16 fire rate...I wonder if thats a bug. It was normally at .25 fire rate. Also PVP is really a scam for you to spend cash on IAPs. It isn't very balanced at all. Also in my opinion PVP isn't very fun cause you don't earn any gold or mithril for winning or losing. And now that a majority of players are playing PVP, PVE which is how you actually earn gold and mithril hardly anyone plays. But it might die down here when players finally want to start getting better gear without paying for it. I guess time will tell.

1) The filter option doesn't work which sucks so I have to look through lame pvp servers to find a pve one. 2)Also setting up a game in the previous version was a synch now you have to go through layers of menus. 3) Balance? what balance? there is no balance. None. Nada. This is fact. Buy your way to the top of the php leader boards, very very stupid thing to do. 4) This is very fast turning into a PAYMIUM game. Of all the booshery stuff to do this is the worst. Pay for a game then pay to get the best gear. Sure you can "earn" them. But only if you are dedicated to the maximum and ignore all the other offers of games out there. 5) Again, paymium... seriously. 6) New bosses would have been better, it would have been another genuine challenge, this pvp is a gimmick to get older players back in to the game, meaning a higher chance to get more IAP purchases once more, meaning rank goes up in app store, new players buy the game and then feel like they have to pay more to get even a remote chance in the arenas vs every one else. 7) This is a vicious cycle. 8) Resurrect the classic game as it was, add new bosses and you have a chart topper. Otherwise you have a flop of what was once a very promising game. 9) pvp is watered down any way, the maps are basic. There is nothing to interact with. At least power ups would have evened the field out a bit. 10) You can't communicate in pvp at least a quick hotkey of "attack my target" would have been useful. Instead you are left just guessing on what enemy to attack. You won't shoot a guy with the best armour standing next to a guy with the worst armour instinctively, but then again the guy with the best armour could have 1hp and you won't have a clue about it.
ok, i screwed up. i deleted the app to update to multiplayer, because it wouldnt update normally. now when i logged into gamecenter to get my progress back it entirely reset. it saved the new account over my seasoned profile! i had all the levels beat with all the waves, an entire armor set, 4 iap weapons: one of those fully leveled, and at least $15 of iap stuff. how do i get my old stats back?! i really dont want to start ALL over again! gamecenter: metroidvictim ios: 5 (latest update) iphone4
That's pretty bad, start by sending both apple and the developers an email explaining how sad you are to have nothing to show for your money, and how you feel cheated out of hard to earn cash. Depends on what country you live in but if you do it politely but firmly you may have some consumer power here. At the very least they should know how the company has your money, but you have nothing for it. Just be careful how you word the email and try to walk a fine line between frustration and patience.
New 1.20 update review. Very displeased. My review for this last update. Please don't read this review as me being angry or mad, I'm just trying to be honest and help the developers create a better game. I really feel this game has a ton of potential if they go the right direction. 1. The new backpack is not worth mithril and possibly not even worth gold. Possibly at least take a review over its stat bonuses...doesn't offer anything worth paying 130 mithril or whatever its price was. 2. The new armor looks cool but fails to add anything different to the game. It really only adds HP which is nice for players who don't know how to move their character and avoid attacks. If your a good player you will use the thunder armor or the atom armor because they are much faster and do loads more damage. I would like to see more armors that benefit the players that can play game really well. 3. The new gun is not worth 2.2 mil much less 1 mil. I wish I would have read the FULL description with it saying "Laser shotgun" it is worthless like the rest of the shotguns and I spent a lot of gold on it. All the shotguns need to have their ranged and firerate increased a tad...because they can't compete with well any gun really. 4. The new PVP mode I think really only hurt the game, I had a feeling it would. Mainly because this game was not meant for PVP much less this game can not support PVP because of the lack of players playing at anytime. Though I'm happy its now a free game for a limited time and I can actually see the increased amount of players. 5. Also PVP gives you NO REWARD, no gold or mithril for winning OR losing. So it is really is not worth playing. 6. The new "increase mithril drop rate for first and second time" I'm still only able to get only one mithril drop from bosses, and I have killed about 10 bosses and only one of them dropped mithril. Honestly, if your going to increase the mithril drop rate, you should just make the first two kills of any boss be a 100% drop rate and the rest of the kill have a decreased rate. You will have much fewer complaints about this because they are guaranteed it and then its luck after the second kill. 7. Gold from bosses more then ever needs to be a constant 100% gold drop because of the lack of players playing PVE and gold in general NEEDS to be made easier to farm. 8. The new PVP levels are actually not so bad IMO..but PVP is very unbalanced and not worth playing. 9. I want to see more boss battles and BETTER weapons that represent my rank 12. I am using guns that players at rank 8 or 9 have fully upgraded because they are the BEST to use at that rank...and still are the best to use at rank 12. We need a better Machine Gun and a better Laser Gun. A gun that is Better then the M-2781 and Nova27, but they NEED to be gold purchasable! 10. This game needs armor with more HP that have suit bonuses just as good as the thunder armor or the atom armor if not BETTER. Increased POW %s is way more effective then HP and even if the armor has better POW%s I'm willing to accept the fact it might have LESS HP to help balance out the armor in-comparison with other armors at that caliber. Being more realistic, I want to see a progression of armor types, like a damage type suits being like the thunder armor. Specialist armors being like the atom armor. And Tank armor that has a lot of hp like the Pegasus armor. The tank armors should be slower then the Damage and Specialist type suits because of all the extra armor giving it health. Also you NEED and I mean NEED to keep the armor ALL GOLD PURCHASABLE otherwise you will lose a lot of players and not only will you lose them to the high mithril prices but you will also lose players to the hackers that come hack these mithril armors and completely destroy everyone else. Please think ahead, and please stop thinking so greedy, I really love this game but I will not stick with it if you keep going down this IAP based path on a PAID FOR GAME. 11. I would like a way to communicate with my fellow gamers, in lobby and in game. Preferrable by text and voicechat in lobby and by voice chat in game. 12. Possibly add my nickname above my character and my rank INSTEAD of this P1 through P8. Also make it much smaller and possibly only have it shown when you have your cross-heir over thier body. It will make "hiding" in PVP much easier and will be nice to know who I'm playing with when I'm playing in PVE. 13. Possibly consider mithril drops from random aliens..though it could be low like 0.5% or so. But have it be automatically given to the person who killed the alien so their isn't any fighting in co-op and so on. 14. Something I think needs to be addressed is the respawn rate of aliens after being killed and the total amount of aliens out at one time. The respawn rate needs to be increased and preferably have it increase the longer I survive. Also the total amount of aliens should be increased some..not a whole lot, but some. Possibly consider adding something like 5 more aliens, and have it increase a total of 5 more the longer I survive. I know it could get laggy if to many monsters were out at one time, so I'm suggesting the number a little low. I'm a veteran of the game and have been playing it since within a month of its release and I'm very glad to see the game add PVP...but they really need to make it more obvious that you need to play PVE or at the very least make it to where players can earn just as much money for soloing bosses and levels. I hope I get some fellow players to agree with me and hope the developers fix the issues in the next update.
Ok, there is no need to get mad for everything not being balanced and being the worst paymium game ever. I actually think this is one of the best games ever to hit the app store. They just released the update for more online modes(pvp battles) for us customers/fans to enjoy, not to complain about. I bet they just released it to have most of the people keep playing the game and not wanting to go back to other games. THEY ACTUALLY LISTEN TO US CUSTOMERS/FANS. Also, with this new update, i know they didnt put in everything that they hoped. They just wanted us customers/fans to enjoy a very good shooter game with more multiplayer modes to enjoy, and not set it down, like we do for other games out there. I guarantee that the next update will blow everyones minds. They will put currency(gold/mithril) in the PVP battle modes. Just be patient, they cant do everything at once. P.S. Sorry if i didnt make any sense what so ever. I am just trying to give out my point of thought.
Not getting mad. I made a similar post like this in the Hunters thread too so you can read that if you like. It's simply a fact of wanting a game to be better because actually there is massive potential there. This game continues to exist on my device and I play it. I just wish that I could put tone of voice and expression across into a forum because that would make things much easier to explain Just saying how it is. I agree they listen to their fans I remember pvp being asked about several months ago. It's not a complaint just a criticism of which there may be a fine line. Most app store companies don't listen to their fans and that is of course a good thing after all, the ones that do! Having said that yes I think I understand your post to and that is also just as valid.
I didnt feel like editing my last post. Here it goes, I didnt get to play the new update yet, because i am currently at college, till 10pm central pacific time. What I am hearing from all of you is that the new update with the new PvP mode is worthless to have in the game. I am a big fan of games that you can go head to head with someone else and not just your self. I dont know how the system looks, because like i said i am at college, but i think on the next update they should split the online screen, so one side is PvE and the other side is PvP modes. So it is easier to find games that way, for the people that cant handle or just out right dislikes the PvP mode can just click the other side of the split screen and play PvE modes. On my other post i wrote that they should put mithril and gold(currency) in the PvP modes. For that said, I think they should make a tournament mode or something like, win 3 games in a row to build up gold, and if you get it high enough you will get some mithrils. The bad thing about it is that if you lose on your streak you have to start over and get nothing for your first battle you win. I actually think that is a fair way to have it. Hopefully Asasnator agrees with me. One of my TA friends.

I would like it to go free again as well for more people. I just played the PvP mode and I thought it was badass. The only thing it needs is a timer, declare you the winner if the other team leaves, don't have other people join the game in progress. Love the new maps also . I don't like the leaderboard, the way it's set up. Why can't people have it, so it shows your kill, death ratio. That would be an awesome leaderboard thing. Also, I read your other post. Gave a lot of detail lol.
Yeah I'm just now seeing the effects of this becoming a free game now, when I make a PVE map..I actually get players to join and they are LOW RANKS! =D So I can actually start farming for gold now...I hope it stays free for as long as they can afford it to. Also PVP does have a timer, but the person who makes the PVP game has to choose to add it. Honestly this game has a ton of potential, but as for right now..it really feels like its in beta testing so to speak, its not quite "complete" if you know what I mean. Also, you missed it! The Nova27 was bugged or something and it had a .16 fire rate! Faster then the M-2781..dude I was slaughtering players in PVP with the atom armor/nova27 combo....but it seemed to be a serve issue because it got fixed without me downloading anything sometime this afternoon. Oh well..was fun while it lasted...now its back to .25 fire rate which is SUPER SLOW...lol
Lmao. Nice nice. I know what you mean. It does feel like beta testing. You know the glove weapon? Everyone uses that and it kills faster than the powerful guns, also the blue plasma gun that has .16 fire rate everyone uses. . I found a few glitches or hiding places that no one knows about. . I was standing on the other side of the wall on PvP map the desert looking one . Also, I think they need to add another raking system. One with just medals for PvE, the alien killing mode. Then like a ranking to 50 or something. This game deffently needs capture the flag mode. Seriously, you see that other PvP map? Looks awesome for big team deathmatch and capture the flag. Wish the guns hit better like regular shooter games, I know they know how to tweak the game to shoot way better than the guns are now. In the next update, fix the lag that it has please and make the guns shoot better and add capture the flag please. Also, split the screen in half for online mode. For the people that want to play PvE and the people that like playing PvP. Don't just have the online modes scrambled like they are. This game could be number one in the app store in my opinion. Keep up the great work.
I agree with you on that, along with the rest of the stuff I suggested on my review. Though I wouldn't per-say split the screen in half. I'd recommend their being two different tabs, one being PVP and the other being PVE. Has so much potential...and I hope the iFreyr website will sometime soon actually add its forum page..because atm they do not have one. Be nice if I could get my idea to the developers. I know they got to make money on IAPs and etc, but their are much better ways at doing this then making the better armor and guns IAPs. For instance the instant respawn spend 1 mithril. That is a good idea..though I would possibly like for them to let us decide if their is a respawn timer or not. But ideas like those don't ruin the game, making the better gear mithril only will ruin a game. Though don't get me wrong, I don't mind them making other gear mithril only purchasable like some of the guns are really just to show off or just have fun with (e.g. Bows, Rocket Launchers, Grenade Launchers, Swords) But keep the Machine Guns (M-2781 series) and Laser guns (Nova27) all gold purchasable. And I don't mind the Laser Cannon being mithril only, but it would be nice if it was actually possible for me to earn it without spending a year playing the game a couple hours a day.
Agree with you are saying. I heard someone say this or I was thinking it, I think that the guns and armor should be in gold and mithril, mithril for the people that just want to get the guns early in the game and gold just playing and making gold or how they have it to transfer mithrill into gold. Should take a lot of mithril to turn into gold so the devs can make a lot of money and not get nothing for what they have or may change. Well for splitting the screens thing, i meant like a tab, i tried to just say something. Good thing you knew what i was talking about . Anyways they have a lot more to do to this game to make it really good. Hopefully they see are comments and grab some of the ideas we said.
You can set whether you want to see coop or versus modes when you push advanced in the multiplayer menu.
I like the PVP, but it does feel beta! Needs random power ups like shield, life, or power... And 100% needs rewards, wtf is up with that? What's the point of playing PVP if you don't get anything for killing? People are playing now, but it gets boring pretty quickly with no rewards. Capture the flag is also a good idea, changes up the game. Though I still think expanding the PVE world should come first... More bosses please. Btw, I was knocking on crab gun before, but in PVP it rocks! I decided to stay with it and up to lvl 6 now. The splash damage and character speed does wonders! If the future of this game is PVP then I def recommend the crab over nova27 and m2781. For now, I'm sticking to bosses and farming... Join me!!!
You did aswell? I'm still only getting one mithril drop a day. And I have killed more then enough bosses for two drops to have happened by now. Thought it was just my luck, but yeah they should make the drop rate for the first two drops like 80-100% so people don't complain about it. Also yeah, I just noticed you could select advanced and change it to see whatever you wanted. Though hardly anyone plays PVE so their is hardly ever a game up for PVE. =[ Also I agree, they should really increase the number of maps and boss battles before really working with PVP, I know people want to play it...but it really doesn't help you at all. Yeah I would like to see better gear for my rank 12...I mean the best guns can be fully upgraded by rank 9-10..and their is nothing for me to get to really "show off my rank".. Yeah I like the idea of having gear both be mithril and gold purchasable, but I highly doubt they will implement this. I would really like to see better guns for the machine gun and laser gun series and have them be gold purchasable.
